Forgotten GJ :)

My plan is too finally get this quilt finished , here is block H :)

The slack one is just about there……..

It has been a very long time since I have made a post….I sort of lost the plot with GJ..

But I have been watching everyone’s progress…and congratulations…WOW…the finished quilts are awesome….

I set myself a goal two weeks ago…to have my quilt completed before GDITC..(12 months ago Chooky, Dale and I decided we would try and complete these quilts for show and tell)….Well Dale finished hers ages ago..Chooky has a finish (is the bind done Chooky)….and I was the slack one..anyway on the weekend I did finish my top…it has been quilted….the bind is on…and I have about 12 inches to sew down on that, so tonight my quilt will be finished……and I have three days to spare….LOL…….

Bugger.........

With Helen and Shiree hot on my case and the end in sight I thought I would be right to piece block F..........I finished resting in the garden while away during the week and thought I was good to piece the rest of the block........well bugger me I haven't stitched the dove cote.............I really thought I had.........and I have but with different blue thread and it was made for another present.............I so thought it was done for this.............anyway now I have to find the cream and trace it off............

so onto plan B to keep these girls off my case.............

I only had the seed packets to trace and stitch for clock H so that is what I did in between swimming in the pool.......

Ta-da.............block H finished.............

D and H finished, yes I'm way behind!

 I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I've been working on my Gardener's Journal in between my other committments now I can mark off blocks D and H as complete.

It's very inspiring seeing all these quilts tops being completed and even quilted. I won't give up, I have to have it finished before I start Tis the Season!

Last one - Block H

Well here it is...the last block of my Gardener's Journal quilt. The blocks are now all sewn together and I'll be working on adding borders next. The blocks and the quilt really are square...the photo just makes them look crooked for some reason! :0)

Seed sowing time.......

Hi there everyone, at last I can get an "H' added ........... some seed packets and tools stitched just in time for spring!  I'm looking forward to getting the real thing underway out in the garden, things are definitely starting to 'spring' into life around here quickly now.

There has been some awesome progress in the last couple of weeks, it amazes me how there are so many styles and colours appearing, I love the personal touches some have been adding to really make their quilt their own!

Block H completed!!

Two blocks completed in one week for me is pretty unheard of - but there you have it!! I have completed my July block and it's only early August - only about 11 days late!!

I'm glad there wasn't as much stitching in this block as the previous one though! I was happy that it all went together fairly well! And I'm happy with my colours!

And again I foundation pieced this little violet wreath square because I found it easier to do that way! So now I have traced the blocks for August and started stitching tonight - hopefully they will be completed in time and assembled before the end of August! It's really great to see everyone's blocks coming together so nicely!

Finally I have some more stitching to show! It seems Ihave been working on too many things here and there with not much to share but am so pleased to have TWO blocks together now, that makes three in total for me now and I am currently working on the house.
I liked the little seed packets, they were quick and easy; and so cute!

Block A. This one has been ALMOST finished for SO LONG, the but that was hard to finish was the table and tree in the Potting Shed block...for some reason it was dificult to pick up and finish; but is done now!

At last...I'm on track with the timetable...wahoo!!!

Caught up!

Its a good feeling to finally catch up, and only just in the nick of time before the new month starts!! I have decided that to stay on track, I will have to dedicate one night each week, for just GJ stitching...so will make that every Friday night!!

Watch This Space...

Why?  Because there is a chance of two more blocks by the end of the day...

The tradies have finally packed up their tools, the fence is finished and so is the house stitchery.

Wahoo!!  Put the final stitches in the fence yesterday morning before work...June stitcheries tick!...

and...last night was the night for one of my quilting groups and after a couple of obsessive, "I WILL get this finished before I do anything else!" hours...the garden tools collection was completed...

...add a tick for July stitcheries as well.

Hoping to get the two blocks together later today and add two more to our tally by July's end and two more letters after my name! Yay!!!!

Finally up to date with Block H

Yay!

I am finally up-to-date.  I just finished piecing my block H tonight. 

This is the first time I have finished my block on time.   I am already busy stitching my next block.
I am having so much fun with this!  I can't wait to get my next block pieced.

It is so hot here that gardening has been almost impossible during the day, so stitching has taken over!!!

Block H and summertime.

I have now finished block H for my quilt and for Chookyblu's counter and it gives me a good feeling to be on schedule.

It is summer in Denmark and I can sit on my terrace and do a lot of stitching, and at the same time listen to the birds and enjoy my flowers. It is really relaxing.

That means that the next block is almost done also. Can't wait to put it together.
