March Quota

Phew....only just made it....sorry about the pic....due to troubles with Google I had to send via email....so no clearer close-up....probably a good thing....LOL!!

Cheers....Jane.

3 blocks done

I cut it fine to get these posted by March end but there were some issues that i only managed to get rectified today. Plus i wasn't happy with the way i'd put 2 colours together & unpicked one block & re-sewed it. You can mark me off now please Chookyblue.

Happy Stitching, Jeanette

Me Too!!

Hot off the sewing machine! I just finished my last two blocks. I didn't think I'd make it. *grin* I don't know why the photos are sideways. They weren't originally. Anyone know how to turn them once they are uploaded to Blogger?? Chooky??  Sandy H

I made it!!

Finally, 1 day before end of March I managed to finish my 3 blocks.  I have an idea that I will make 2 quilts at the same time, but I'm a little behind with the other one. May be I can catch up later.  I really enjoy stitching them and look forward to the next month.

Happy easter and spring to you all !

Anne Lise

Check me off!

Here are my 3 for March!  I had so much fun with these!

I realized that I still can't straight stitch so I went with the stem.  I'll keep practicing, though!

Sorry the pics are dark and at an angle - too excited to wait until morning :)

Happy Spring!

What do you think Sue S

I sewed today, put all the borders on and played with the layout. Not sure yet but I think I like it. I've kept the mittens to add to the back and have left over honey bun to play with for the back as well. You might notice I have already started block 4, it is relaxing of a night time to do some hand stitching.

5 blocks for me.....

5 Blocks for me, but not put together! I have not had too much 'machine' sewing going on here, but have decided that I might just stitch the blocks for now, and stitch the borders once they are all done. That way, I can look at fabric placement! I suppose I should have gave them a press before I showed you all!
I think the Angel one is my favourite so far:

I have been checking everyone's progress..... ALL looking wonderful!

March Blocks finished

I wasn't sure I was going to get these done in time

but YAY I did

Now to get Aprils done on time.

My Fabric for Tis the Season

I have been keeping a very low profile these days as I am a little embarassed that I have not gotten anything done for this yet...  I was at club a week or so and I found my fabric.  I love what I have picked and I can't wait to start, seeing how I am a month behind or 2 to some of you...
The fabric that I have picked is called Fruitcake by Basic Grey Moda

First 3 Finished

A Flurry of Posts!

So many posts this weekend! Must be getting close to the end of the month! I am really enjoying ALL of your posts. (How Chookyblue keeps up with it all I don't know. She is amazing! Thank you Chookyblue.) Just to prove that I am actually doing this stitch-a-long I thought I had better show you a photo.

These little stitcheries are such fun! As you can see I am still stitching my second. I will get these three stitched and start stitching April's, but turning them into blocks will not happen till April because I am going away. No sewing machine, but hopefully lots of stitching will be done! (I will update you by email Chookyblue at the end of the month as to my progress) Keep stitching girls!

S.O.S.

Hi, girls!

How are you?

I'm not sure about my colours choise... can you help me? Here are my fabrics choises. What do you think about? Does it work with my flos colour?

Thankyou!

I have decided to Raw Edge Applique my Hearts
and I will do that when I have it on Milly (longarm machine)

Chooky asked me how am I going to quilt this and I haven't quite decided
exactly what to do but maybe some feathers meandering and some line dancing.
I'm sure it will come to me when its on the frame.

Hugs
Mandy!

First 3 Blocks are complete

My first 3 blocks are completed.
I have used fabrics from my stash and some linen for the stitchery blocks.

Hugs - Fee XX

Yay, my March blocks are finished.

I finished stitching them weeks ago & I’ve finished block 3, & nearly block 4, but I got stuck with the borders. It was all very well using a mix of colours but I just couldn’t get the fabrics I chose to work for the borders.

Dd Emma was here yesterday so I asked her opinion. She gave me a great idea for the layout which I would never have thought of, so I’m back in action. My blocks will only have 1 border, the reason will become obvious when the top is finished.

So here finally is block 1 & 2 & I’ll be able to post 3 & 4 early next month. :-)blocks 1 & 2

I was really pleased the little penguins were in the first month, they are my fave block. I left out the 3rd of this month’s blocks, it is the 13th I don’t need.

My blocks won’t all have aqua borders. :-)

cheers,

March Blocks Done

After great enthusiam at the begining of the month I now have 3 finished blocks to show you just in time.

I decided after doing my 3rd block as per the pattern that I just did not like my results with 4.5 inch stitchery blocks so those 3 blocks have gone aside for another project & here are my 3 new blocks using a 5 inch stitchery centre.

Sorry I haven't followed the list of what block everyone is doing in which month, I never read instructions properly, too enthused to get going...

So that is just 3 completed blocks for me Chooky.

Loving all the great pics, threads & fabric comblinations we are seeing for this project!

Happy stitching
Tracee xx (Quiltkitty)

One block finished - tick...

I finished one block yesterday, and I've started stitching on the second one. I want to do the stitching first, as Natalie suggested, as it can change the shape of the background. I'm also trying another Cottage Cotton Thread colour. This one is more variegated. It's the Kangaroo Paw. I'll see if I like it or not.

I got there,whew

Whew i got there with a little time to spare,Chooky please mark me off for 3 blocks thankyou.
It is such a quick project that really there is no excuse for me not to have it finished on time,i love that there is a time limit on the blocks because i will have a wall hanging by the end of the year finished with out much effort, its a great idea doing it slowly through the year it will be finished before i know it.
cheers Shez
