Sorry girls

I didn't make it.
Life got in the way.
Maybe another time.

Anyway thank you all for the company and the cheering along the path.
Hope to see you again somewhere in Cyberspace.

What's the problem?

Another three days left of August and I'm already one ...

Love this bag and wonder why I didn't make it until someone else decided for me. Thanks Chooky :-)

Think I'll have to do another one some day.

Late ... as usual

Late seems to be my middle name at the moment.
Summer's almost gone and autumn closing in, maybe the cooler weather and the darkness will get me into the studio.

Anyway I've taken out the small scraps, traced some stitcheries onto vintage muslin and found som Cosmo remains from another project.

I'm not a very big fan of linen but I found this French General linen/cotton blend that I'm very fond of.
Lucky for me I still have a very large chunk of it :-)

I'll put on a Midsomer Murders DVD and get those stitcheries done tonight.
Will look for some lining fabric tomorrow.

One small step forward

Had the afternoon off and made the front of my Tis The Season bag.
The shadows are wet spots to remove my blue pen markings.

I made the stitchery a guardian angel instead of the chilly penguins in the book.

July project

Some of you may remember this picture from this post.

That was way back in March 2011 !!!

Found the tin today and voila ...
What progress it has made since then LOL :-)

Well the stitchery and the hexagons are done, so all I need now is the rest of the bag.

Using my Pass

As much as I am a bag lady, this month's project just doesn't appeal to me.

So I've decided to use my pass and focus on something else during May.

Slowly Getting There

Stitcheries are almost done, perhaps a finish this week-end.

March done

With only a few hours to spare I'm done.

Spotted those tiny bottons at my local dealer.
They just had to go in the jar.

Happy Easter.

Almost done

Today I came across these orphan blocks.
Just had to check the size and guess what...

They are the exact size for this months project.

I also found a long forgotten Jelly-Roll of Moda Muslins, might be able to find a perfect match for the stitchery in there.

So there you have it, I'm almost done.

True Friends

Love to see how all your bags are turning out.
This is mine. It's been finished for almost a week but I've been waiting for daylight to get some decent photos.
Fabrics are mainly French General.

Front.

Back.

Inside pocket and key strap.

I allways wanted a Christmas bag but never dared to make one.
After seeing Vicki's I think I must have one in time for Christmas this year.

Midway update

My bag ready for quilting.

Instead of front and back I made both in one piece.

The lining is all done ready to put inside whenever.
Guess that will be sometime during the week-end.

Happy Valentine's to all of you.

And just in time :-)

January check ... and check

Hi, I'm Pia from Denmark.

Years back I joined this SAL for "A Gardeners Journal" and "Tis The Season".
I passed "Some Kind of Wonderful", but now I'm back to make a lot of wonderful smaller projects
So happy to be sewing with you again.

Some jelly roll strips leftover from another project came to good use.

TTS finished

Only 18 hours late but nevertheless it's finished. Yes we're talking about my TTS, handquilted and bound, ready to hang in a few months time.

This has been a fabulous journey sewing with you for almost 2 years but now's the time for me to jump off this train.

I will still keep an eye on you and make a comment once in a while.

Without you my Gardeners Journal may still have been in the drawer and now I look at it every day covering a wall in my living room, thank you for all the support along the path.

For those of you who have finished one or two big projects congratulations, for those of you still in the process of making, keep going and don't give up :-)

Please come visit me at Pia's Place anytime.
