I have finished my quilt top and I love it. Now for quilting. I am going to quilt it myself, but not sure exactly how to quilt it yet. I still have to pick backing too.
It is great to see all of the blocks and quilt tops coming together and everyone's progress. The support of the group has been amazing! Can't wait to start Tis the Season. Thanks Chookyblue. It is -25 here in Ontario, Canada and -35 with the windchill. Good time to stay in and do some quilting!

Block E, before Block I
I started stitching December's block before November's block (oops), so here is Block E - One more to go. I have put the middle of the quilt together, but I am not going to post that until it is finished completely.
Wow, this has been so much fun and I can't believe there is only one more block to go! Although I love Chookyblue's post about maybe another Stitch-A-Long? Very interesting!

Catching Up - Block B
Getting more caught up finally. Here is my Block B. I tried needle turn on the hearts for the first time ever. I think it turned out okay. Wow two more blocks to go! I can't believe it. I have a bit of the quilt sewn together and it looks so beautiful! It is so fun to see finished quilt tops. Well, I am off to stitch by the fire where it is warm. It is -5 here and we have a wee bit of snow! Happy Stitching Everyone!!!

Finally Block F is Finished
I just finished Block F this weekend at a retreat. How fun to relax and sew and eat for 3 solid days! I wish I could go back. It was so much fun. Anyway here is my Block F. Just a month or so late, oh well.
It is so much fun to see some finished quilt tops. Off to stitch the October block. Happy stitching everyone from Ontario, Canada.

Lollygagging
Oh my, I am so far behind. I have not yet finished the stitcheries for September. This weekend is Thanksgiving and hopefully I will have some time to stitch. Love seeing everyone's work and progress. It helps us keep going on with this beautiful quilt!

Five days late, not that bad!!!
Finally finished Block D. August was a very slow month for stitching and it feels like it took forever to stitch these two stitcheries. Here it is.
And then I looked at the block setting and put two blocks together.
It's so exciting to be able to put a couple blocks together. I have the stitcheries traced and off to stitch for the next block! Happy stitching to all!!!

Finally up to date with Block H
Yay!
I am finally up-to-date. I just finished piecing my block H tonight.
This is the first time I have finished my block on time. I am already busy stitching my next block.
I am having so much fun with this! I can't wait to get my next block pieced.
It is so hot here that gardening has been almost impossible during the day, so stitching has taken over!!!

Block A and my Daughter's Stitchery
Block A is finally done. I love how it turned out. I love the stitcheries in this block. They were so fun to do. At the bottom right is the dog house that my 12 year old daughter, Emily, stitched. She did such a great job don't you think?
Here is another picture. Please ignore the date printed on the bottom left - I am not sure how it is that it is the wrong date.
I have stitched the flower wreath and dog house for Block C and am on to the big house! That should keep me busy for awhile
Happy stitching everyone!

Block A almost done
I have finished all of the sticheries for Block A except the butterfly, which is almost done. I have added the borders to the weathervane and potting plants stitcheries (picked out by one of my daughters, Emily, who is 12 and has stitched the dog house on her own as watching me made her want to try - I will post that when my block is done).
My husband and daughter made me a huge lightbox which is amazing and which has greatly helped the tracing process and I have traced all of the stitcheries for Block C - can't wait to get started.
Everyone's blocks and fabric choices are so beautiful! We are so lucky to have found this stitch-a-long.

My First Block is FINISHED!!!
Yippee. My first block is finished and I am so happy with it. What do you think? Also, the inner and outer borders (I think) I am using are shown. Should I add some of the inner and outer borders to the quilt blocks also? I have the stitcheries traced for the next block and only 6 days left to complete it - won't happen - but at least I feel like I am in the game!
Thanks to everyone in this stitch-a-long for their comments, advice, support. It is so much fun to be making this quilt together.

Starting to Cut
Okay - I finished stitching the bird bath and am almost done watering the garden. I am starting to cut fabric. Just wondering - did most of you use the 10 fabrics and cut all of your squares at once or are some using more than 10 fabrics?

Unfortunately . . .
I am not going to get my block done for April. I have still not received my book. Chookyblue was kind enough to send me some of the information; however, I think I still need the book to get going. Oh well, I will just have to do double in May - YIKES! You are all doing such a great job and all of the blocks are so beautiful. Hopefully my book will come this week.

My Fabrics
These are most of my fabrics - the cream in the front is for my stitcheries. The rest are all by Blackbird Designs. The five inch squares are Beach House by Blackbird Designs. I think I need a few more in the green tone. Any ideas on what colour to use for my stitcheries? One colour or all, I can't decide. I have browsed through this Stitch-A-Long and everyone's fabrics and colours are beautiful. Can't wait to get started as soon as I get my book.

My first post and fabrics
This is my first post to the A Gardener's Journal Stitch-A-Long. I know I am a bit behind. I have ordered the book and should receive it next week. I have picked some of my fabrics and will post a picture tomorrow once I figure out how. Can anyone help me with that?
Looking forward to lots of fun.
I live in Ontario, Canada and this is my first stitch-a-long.
