May and June Complete!!

May and June are finally complete but I can't show you June's pincushion until it arrives at it's destination.

May's project: I had to wait until last weekend to get the fabric for the lining because nothing really appealed to me at my local patchwork shop.
I wasn't going to put the opening in the back but I am so glad I did.
I am really happy with how it I has turned out.

I have decided to give my June pincushion to a dear friend who has lost her mojo.
I will post a picture later this week.

All the projects are looking fantastic - it's so inspiring to see everyone's individual twist on these patterns.

Until Next Time -
Happy Stitching
Ann xox

Might have to pass until...

I locate my pin cushions sides.

I have stitched them and they are in a safe place I just don't know where the safe place is.

Stay tuned for an update hopefully very soon.

Simone.

June for De

I really should put these photos up as soon as I finish, rather than leaving them to the last day!
 Anyway - here it is:

This was a fun project even though the small needle turn really pushed my limits I stuck with it and its not too bad at all.

Onto July project now...

Hi, girls! I post three project! I loved so much wall hanging one! Asd how Chookyblue says, "It's hard to decide what blocks are the favourites to stitch for this wall hanging...", yes, of course! You're so right!
Marg, can you see? It's you that suggested me this bag with your fantastic fabric choise...

P.S. I showed the Some Kind of Wonderful quilt to the shop where I bought fabrics... they falled in love and forgot all the other costumers... :) Thay told they infrequently see a so incredible quilt! :)

June SAL Just in Time

Finally finished my little pincushion tonight for this month's SAL project. Really love it, and even though small it took me a lot longer than I thought it would for some reason.
Cheryl

Done, with days to spare!

Firstly, I just want to say 'well done' to all those finishers this month-some lovely pincushions out there!

Mine is slightly modified-my house is a little more modest, I decided to leave off the quote, and I didn't do any quilting. I enjoyed the needleturn applique, but think I prefer it when the pieces are on the larger size ;) I also loved the little hexies.

JUNE Pincushion - Late Note Please

Hi Girls and Chooky, can I please have a late note as my filling for my pin cushion won't be arriving - there is a delay with my order from the home patch - expect the shipment on or around the second week of July, but I have it ready to go once the stuffing arrives.....

June done ;-)

Hello girls, first of all I hung the bag in May because for me it is too complicated. I struggle with the translation into Italian. GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!Here, however, my "task" of June. I'm glad I did. This is my first time working with hexagons and I am very proud of the result. For the applications I used the technique "free motion" because I like a lot. :-))
Chooky sorry for the month of May ;-( A big hug to all, Emanuela

Another tick please.....

I loved making this pincushion, so many techniques I love, hexis, needle turn, quilting....so another tick please Chookyblue. I have loved seeing everyone's fabric choices...sadly my favourite colour is red, so I didn't stray you far lol.   Just need to find the perfect button to sit on top!

Hooray another SKOW block done

I have finished another block  for my GD'S  SKOW quilt,my GD said that this is her and her best friend,so Madie is the one with the long black hair.
I hope to start on another block tonight.
cheers shez xx

I've Created a Monster

I think I created a MONSTER pin cushion which is now a  foot stool , table or a cube cushion whichever you would prefer.

I never had any small hexies and no time to make them so I chose the ones I had and started on the Hexie  part of the project and ...... so big  ....so then I had to resize everything. But I still think it's cool -  for now....It may get a remake when I have time because I love the stitchery.  Sorry the photo isn't great.

25/52...........

Come on girls..........need to get moving............only 25 out of 52 people are done.............we only have a few days left................lets get moving..........I see lots of posts have been done in the last few days congrats to those who have finished................
cracking the whip...........

My June finish!

Just in time...my June SAL....tick me off Chooky!
....such a cute project!    I added a few little bird buttons, just to make it mine!

 OK... now for July
 Cheers Floss

JUNE... Pinchushion

OK, with the threat of another pass looming, and the month drawing to a nearer end, I had a panic. and although I had dragged out the fabrics, the book and the tools last week, I finally go to it  yesterday I spent some time....so progress has begun...

My stitcheries are complete - yes I decided to stitch the little home instead of applique, and I have now joined almost all the hexis....that's tonight finish.

I am going to say  it may be late as I finally tracked down the walnut shells at Hatched and Patched and placed my order today. So once they arrive I can complete it.

But I have dragged out Next month's pattern and I am thinking of altering the stitchery...but I am thinking early!!!

Pincushion

I have completed my pincushion... Yes it's in the original fabrics.
I still need to put a button on top...
Just waiting to go to Spotlight and get a self covering button kit as I just can't find the right button.

Anyway, happy quilting

June's SAL - Pincushion

Here are photos of my June pin-cushion, somewhat modified, sorry Chooky.
When I appliqued the little house, it was somewhat wonky, looked like it had been hit by an avalanche, so I cut more hexies and did this way. (am rather fond of hexies).
Hugs and happy stitching

Don't give up on me yet as I'm still working on June, but could I please use my pass for May please chooky?
Hope to be back soon with a finished pincushion.
Lisa

Done and on time!

Hi everyone,
Unfortunately I had to use my pass for the May project but I'm happy to say my June pincushion is done!
There was a lot more work in this little thing than I had first thought but it was worth it as I love the way it turned out.
Fabrics are Rural Jardin by French General for Moda except the one with the big bird. I'm not sure about that one.

Now to have a look at what I need to do for July.
