Ok, I took the plunge! I've selected my fabrics for our next project. Using this image as my inspiration.....

My Favorite Things - pattern by Anni Downs |
I'm going with Nancy Halvorsen's Garden Song fabrics for the applique and color accents. And I will use creams, tans and pale yellow fabrics from my stash for the borders and sashing.
Now, all I have to do is figure out how to applique! I'm openly soliciting applique tips, tutorial suggestions, and favorite techniques on my
blog. Keep them coming! If I get enough, I'll compile them and share them!
Happy Stitchin!

Your fabrics look beautiful!! My favorite applique technique at the moment is raw edge applique. Takes a bit of practice though.. Good Luck!!
Lovely! I am loving looking at everyone's fabric choices! Oh. And I'll be doing raw edge applique too.
What an excellent choice, it's going to make a beautiful quilt.
What a lovely selection!! As I've let others know, this months' Quilter's Companion has a fantastic dvd detailing the needleturn applique technique if you're interested in trying this technique!
oh that's going to be lovely.........
Lovely choice of fabrics, cant wait to see some blocks. I am doing needleturn for something different and have been watching a few you-tube videos.
Great choice of fabric, I have been seriously considering this range as well! Shabby Fabrics has made some videos on You-Tube about applique, using the freezer paper and starch method. Best of luck whatever method you choose!
Love;y fabrics and since they are all from the same story you know they will all go!
Como me gusta todo lo que tiene que ver con Art to Heart, hoy he trabajado sus manzanas.
Me encantan estos colores!!!!
