My name is Theresa and I live in the UK. I'm just popping in to say hello and thanks to Chookyblue for giving me a space on the Some Kind of Wonderful SAL. I've had my book since July now and have so enjoyed reading it and planning - it's time to make something from it now so I'm delighted to be able to join in with the SAL and hope to keep on track. I've enjoyed watching the Tis the Season quilts being made and finished over the last months - so many different fabrics used and all of the quilts are beautiful.
I had a little trip to my local quilt shop on Friday to stock up on a few more cream fabrics for the quilt. I'm planning on using Fig Tree fabrics - possibly mostly Buttercup, that's the plan at the moment anyway :)
2010 A Gardener's Journal by Anni Downs..... 2011 Tis the Season by Natalie Bird.... 2012 Some Kind Of Wonderful by Anni Downs......
1st SAL.....Peg, Dale and I committed to stitching Anni Downs - A Gardener's Journal in March 2010. We have set the time frame as completed March 2011. 2nd SAL ......well so many of the girls wanted to continue on with another project and some new girls joined us and now approx 91 girls are stitching Natalie Bird's Tis the Season. March to Sept 2011
Where are we now.....3rd SAL....many girls want to stick with the SAL so now we have moved onto Anni Downs Some Kind of Wonderful - My Favourite Things Quilt.......Oct 2011-Oct 2012......Welcome.....Chookyblue........Not taking any new participants now sorry....

Hello and welcome. I love your fabrics. I have been trying to lay my hands on some of Anni's fabric but haven't been able to do so. I am in the US but I am willing to order it online from somewhere else. Anyway, I looked in my stash last night and found some prints I think will do. I just got the book yesterday.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with these.
