Just thought i would pop in and introduce myself and say that i am excited to be a part of your stitch a long. I have the book and my fabrics and have decided to test myself and try needle turn with this project. Normally i'm a blanket stitch girl but i've been on You Tube and watched some videos and i think i can, i think i can, do this quilt in needle turn. Anyway we'll just have to wait and see and if i get stuck i will be knocking on Suzitee's door.

Wooohooo...welcome Linda! I'm so excited that you have joined up, and will look forward to stitching along with you (and having you to keep me on track with this project!) :) Just a note though...no point knocking on my door...LOL...I can't do needleturn to save myself!
I am a Blanket Stitch girl also! I am not sure how I will go on the needle turn but I will learn with you :o) Maybe some of the girls here can share some tips with us?

welcome Linda........you can stitch how you want really......raw egde applique, needleturn, blanket stitch (machine or hand)........see what takes you fancy........
Hi Linda, I'll be watching you for advice. I've only blanket stitched so far too so it is time to learn new ways. Good luck! Tracee xx
As Chookyblue says - whatever you prefer - maybe try using the freezer paper method - the shapes are not really that intricate - so I think this is a good project to 'learn' hand applique of any type. have fun.
