I'm taking a little break from the Natures Journey SAL. I am on the last row of diamonds....hope to add the borders in the next few days....

For a change of pace tonight I've started to stitch for a Chrissy swap..... shhhh tis a secret swap.....

Cutting away....

Spent yesterday cutting all those 2" squares... I think I counted them 20 times as I kept getting interrupted lol tonight hope to cut out the last border...then away on holidays tomorrow where I plan to sew sew sew.....

We are almost there ladies....almost there.....

I've worked very hard this last month to catch up, just a few more days and I'll finish Augusts block. We all have the flu here, and looks like another one will be home today.

Love seeing everyone's colour variations....not long now....

Im working away...

Cut, cut cut and sew, sew sew....I'm at the Opal Mine again for a few days so no excuse but to work on Natures Journey.....

Chooky you can tick off May and June for me please....Almost finished July!!!

Ummm just need a few more days......

Here's my view this mornng.....

Hubby and I are child free and in Glengarry (our opal mine) this weekend. I am three months behind on my stitchalong but am ready to tackle cutting out all the needleturn etc this morning.....wish me luck! 

P.S. Had a nice catch up with Miss Chookyblue yesterday. Tis always great to catch up...no pics thou grrr we were talking too much lol but she did lend me her Hera thingy for my bias strips....Lol

After a quick start, I managed a slow finish, hope to improve next month. Now onto February's commitment.....

I made mine into a mini wall hanging, now to find a hanger in my stash....somewhere lol

Decisions

I've just picked up my copy of Natures Journey, and saw the quilt in the flesh, tis just beautiful!
Although I love Annis colours Ive decided to use my French General stash of La Fleur Belle...need to check if I have enough background fabric...any excuse for another visit to Annis store as I had hubby and the kids in the car lol

An early almost finish....

Hi my name is Deb,  I own frog cottage designs and used to be an avid blogger until I broke my leg badly in late 2013. I didn't just break my leg I broke my sewing mojo too, so I am excited to be a part of this years stitchalong. Thank you to Chooky and Susan for your hard work in organising and for any future whip cracking lol.... can't wait for next month to get started on Annis new quilt. I live 50kms North of Bathurst so The Home Patch is my local quilt store!!!!!!

I've never completed anything this early before lol but ta dar.....

I really enjoyed stitching this one, love the CGT Running Postman, tis a new favourite now. Just need to find some fabric and make it into a wall hanging....

At last....

I finally finished and happy with result! On to the next.....

A few days to spare....

I've just finished my stitchalong item for July, Natalie Birds Tis the Season bag. I decided to not make mine with a Christmas theme and chose fabrics from my stash. I needle turned a cute house and stitched a little tree.....I also found a little bird button, too cute!

Its a nice bag, the good thing about this stitchalong is that Im making projects I wouldn't have otherwise...thanks Chooky!

Another tick please.....

I loved making this pincushion, so many techniques I love, hexis, needle turn, quilting....so another tick please Chookyblue. I have loved seeing everyone's fabric choices...sadly my favourite colour is red, so I didn't stray you far lol.   Just need to find the perfect button to sit on top!
