The pear tree comes from the poem 'The 12 Days of Christmas'. On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twelve_Days_of_Christmas_(song). It's 2.14am here Monday morning & I can't sleep so pleased to see your post. Love your blocks. Tracee xx
thanks Kitty :)

i probably confused you posting all the 3 march blocks.
I am a 3b and not a 4b :)
Kokina,
The Twelve Days of Christmas was written as a code for some religious reasons...I've heard the story but couldn't quote it. I'm sure if you googled it you'd learn the meaning...Here in the States, the pears are well off the trees before Christmas and I don't know that I've ever seen a Partridge.
Your blocks look great...happy stitching....and I call it a nap.
Mama Bear
thanks so much Mama Bear for helping me with english and with this pears and partridge mistery :)
hugs
