Progress!!!

Hello,

My last post was used to explain you that I'm working, but quite slow, as far I know, some of us had/have problems that makes us difficult to follow the rhythm .. but I can say that I have a progress!!

As you can see I'm using the BOM from The home patch! (i receive late because I'm from spain and I receive the month parcel in the second part of the month, it means right know I'm still waiting  for June ..

But I can say that February is done.. and from March to May all stitchery is done also... then I "only" have to make the application for those months .

Then Girls.. I'm on the road!!! yeah!!

Thanks for support ..

Lots of kisses!
Ester

Finally some SKoW movement!!!

I have wanted to get back on to this project for a while, but unfortunately the last few months have seen me rather unwell, injured (with a hyperextension injury in my wrist - not fun!! ... I do not recommend getting one of these!!), and then unwell again and I just haven't been able to get onto any of my sewing commitments/plans.

Now Chooky has cracked the whip ... I am well ... and I am taking some time off from my studies ... there is some movement!  The 'old blue jeans block' ...

Jeans block prepared for needle turn appliqué...
Square of fabric at top left is ready for *was 'cupcakes* block.

I have gotten one leg sewn so far, and am hoping to finish this block tonight ... Pellon, cut to size, is sitting ready for fusion.
My current set-up for sewing ... like my tin of 'Superior Threads'?
Then I *really* need to get on to finishing this mini before I can do too much more of the stitching for SKoW...
Needs needle turn & stitchery to be done, sandwiched, quilted & bound :)  ASAP!!
I previously had the umbrella, cup of tea & suitcase blocks finished.
My previously completed blocks

I also finished the cupcakes block, but I am not in the least happy with it; plus I have decided that really, cupcakes aren't one of my favourite things ... and, inspired by all the adaptions by the other ladies, I have decided to replace this with 'pavlova' - my absolute favourite desert!!  I'm hoping to at least have the image for this block drawn up and fabrics selected by the end of the weekend, along with a February (chocolates block is ready, just needs to be sewn/stitched) & March's blocks at least prepared for next week ...

This next month & a half is gonna go quick! ... Better get back to it!!

My blocks so far...

Wow some of you have been super fast stitchers!

I'm about 1/2 way there. I've decided to stitch all of my blocks before adding the borders and putting the whole quilt together.

My background fabric is cream with little white flowers. I think I measured it correctly - well I hope so anyways otherwise I'll be on the hunt for more background fabric ;-)

I have to say that going on a long drive, and having someone else drive, makes for excellent stitching time. My DH did most of the driving between our trip from home (just south of Sydney) to Melbourne (around 900km each way). These little lovelies are the perfect travel sized stitching items.

And for anyone who may have missed my earlier post, here's my brush with fame and the actual Tis the Season quilt experience. Wish I'd taken a better photo of it - and maybe one with the designer.

Happy Stitching Everyone xoxo

A Flurry of Posts!

So many posts this weekend! Must be getting close to the end of the month! I am really enjoying ALL of your posts. (How Chookyblue keeps up with it all I don't know. She is amazing! Thank you Chookyblue.) Just to prove that I am actually doing this stitch-a-long I thought I had better show you a photo.

These little stitcheries are such fun! As you can see I am still stitching my second. I will get these three stitched and start stitching April's, but turning them into blocks will not happen till April because I am going away. No sewing machine, but hopefully lots of stitching will be done! (I will update you by email Chookyblue at the end of the month as to my progress) Keep stitching girls!
