July Center Block Is Ready:-))

Dear Girls,

I am happy I had finished the center block, the block of July!

The mobile pictures with flash don't do justice with the true colours at all (grrr....), in real all the colours are so fresh and breathing, but we are traveling for a holiday and I chose not to wait another week with updating my journey and risk some whip scars on my back (you know it is still the season of bikinis and beach wear, how would that look:-)))  Maybe I will update this post later with new pics.

I really enjoyed making this center piece. I covered the fabric of the vase with an antique hand-made lace to make it more like me (I am in love with all kinds of ribbons, silks, laces of antique needleworks:-)))

I was watching seasons of Aussie Ladette to Lady on youtube, this was the background "theme" this time:-)))

Yippee !!!

A little tardy but here is Miss July ... Such a pretty block with so much stitching .

Onto August tomorrow .....

Just a little bit of button hole stitch too go .... Lucky it's a rainy looking Sunday , great weather to finish this off .

I'm going to miss all this hand stitching when this is finished.... Think I might start a new hand stitching quilt ... Maybe "green tea and sweet beans" crazy I know ;))

A touch Of July

I made a start on July .... Can't wait too start buttonhole stitching this one .... Means we are almost at the end :(( 

This is pretty much the only consistent sewing I have done since January , I love it so much !!!

One small step forward

Had the afternoon off and made the front of my Tis The Season bag.

The shadows are wet spots to remove my blue pen markings.

I made the stitchery a guardian angel instead of the chilly penguins in the book.

Found the tin today and voila ...

What progress it has made since then LOL :-)

Well the stitchery and the hexagons are done, so all I need now is the rest of the bag.
