June & July Done

June's Stitch-A-Long  was delayed due to my order of Crushed Walnuts, and I am so glad I waited... I love the filling and how my pincushion now feels. 

July's Project is complete only a couple of days late - but I am so happy with it.

I have already made 2 of this months project, but I have been juggling fabrics today to try and make a non patched version perhaps with a stitchery - still pondering, I won't ponder all month I promise - tomorrows Mad Quilters Gathering might inspire me.

Another straggler over the line...

Made it, with a couple of hours to spare! I omitted the stitchery and quilting, and I still need to top stitch the top edge and find the right buttons, but it's pretty much done. I used the Bonnie & Camille range 'Scrumptious' for the hexagons, and some other fabrics from their other ranges plus some stash bits and pieces.

I'm thinking I'll use it as a project bag for small portable projects.

Bringing up the Rear

Hi everyone,
I always have such good intentions of working on my SAL piece at the beginning of the month but somehow it always ends up as a last minute panic.
My bag is done although it doesn't resemble the original pattern all that much since I made it bigger and used a different stitchery design.
I had a charm pack of La Petite Ecole by French General for Moda so I used that for the hexagons and added a FQ and a half yard of coordinating fabrics.



The stitchery design is by Kathy Schmitz




A panel with the alphabet was used for the inner pocket.



I'm inspired and love all of the beautiful bags on the blog so far.

Where has this month gone? Here is my bag from Tis the Season. I loved working with Lynette Anderson's Christmas fabrics on this project.
