The top is done!
There has been so much machine sewing happening here. I just had to get my top made for the Stitch-a-long blog by the end of September and here it is! It was a big job but worth it to have this quilt top ready!

A little progress...
Today I thought I had best start cutting up the hundreds of little 2" squares for the borders on Nature's Journey. Can't believe the top is due to be finished at the end of this month! Well done those who have already finished.

Just made it!
Stitched my last little square on at 10pm! I wasn't sure that August would be done on time but am pleased to have made the deadline! Here is my centre block.

In a few weeks we are heading away on holidays so I was busy last month doing June's blocks as well as May's. I hope to get July's block done before I go! I wouldn't want to get behind while I am away!

Month 1 done
My month 1 of the Nature's Journey is completed. Lovely to see all the different colourways. I am using my stash for my fabrics and just bought a few extra blues for the backgrounds.

The little blocks are done
I have done the little blocks from the first month. I ended up stitching the blanket stitch with a blue thread.
Now to applique the large ones.

Mine is done too
I managed to do a little stitching and finish off Christmas Wishes. I decided to make it into a little hanging with rusty bells.

I have my pattern
I was so excited when I went to work this week at Hobbysew (in Canberra) and the pattern for Nature's Journey was in stock. I have lots of other stitching to do but had to fiddle with fabrics for this. I do like Anni's colours so will try to be a bit similar but use some of the stash (will probably buy lots too!)
I bought a few blues yesterday for backgrounds. Not sure about the front stripe. It might be a bit bright.

I must trace Anni's little stitchery and get going on that.

September done
Here is the last project from this year's SAL. All the projects have been ones that I have wanted to make so it has been a pleasure. Thank you to Chooky and her lovely helpers for organising and running this stitch-a-long. It is very motivating to see everyone's progress and has been fun seeing all the posts.

Pin cushion for June
We are all packed and ready to leave tomorrow "on a jet plane"! Looking forward to very little cooking and cleaning for a while! The stitching is packed and the warm clothes are in too as France is having a bit of a chilly Spring! Just thought I would share my little pin cushion for the June Stitch-a-long as I will be away. Luckily this was done earlier.
