And I have a top

So happy I've had a few issues, with Somw squares less meaning. 1/4 inch peeper being added, then the next squares I had frustration and cut one in half - but what surprised me is the brick border fitted perfect.

After laying it stop my bed I decided I needed a bit of overhang and added another border of my grey spot. So guess tomorrow means shopping for backing fabric
And the quilting can begin.

But I've been happily distracted lots by Lucy thanks to Chooky

July Progress

Ok, so it's not a finish or even any sewing, but I'm feeling like the end of the tunnel just got closer, July is cut out ready for today's sewing machine day, slipping in a bit of pleasure sewing with the work load. I even have a ziplock bag, filled with all the appliqué pieces, ready to stitch....

Dear Chooky, I may be claiming double letter status this month... Not promising, but I am motivated.

I'm slowly catching up - June is prepped, so I may manage a double month if I'm lucky in July!

Almost an M, NOPE it's an M

I'm on my last block, and I'm loving it.

Have you all noticed how pointy this months blocks are. Well I've been struggling. With fray, and awkward points.
I decided to move on to the curvier pieces. And the points were getting better.

But after last nights sewing group tip, of using a toothpick. WOW, those little points are losing and I'm winning. After posting on Instagram and Facebook, a few people asked for a video tutorial, my friend Wendy, found a blog step-by-step, hope it helps.

Happy Stitching,
Sonia

PS.
So I decided, well my body decided that it was over the no pain no gain, and it needs a rest and recovery day. I do have Forever Always stitching to do, but that one last point was calling me to finish it. So I did! So please can I have an M?

April

Ooops, it's the 1st of May. I had great intentions of posting the first week.....but!!!!!!!!!!

I got Sick, really sick, there is a vomiting Gastro bug going around and it knocked me out for about a week......I felt horrid...

Then I had a market, so with being sick well.....

Then number one son's work is swept through with the flu last week, being a Chef he had to send staff home....etc and then he comes down with it, and well needless to say another two of us as well...

So the month of April disappeared

But I had already done Aprils project, yes I made 3 of them and gave them as gifts.

if I can get away with it Ill try or its a pass please Chooky

February stitching

I've had to drag myself away from my crocheting thus month to get into the stitching this month.

I've modified my project this month to include one of Natalie Lymers patterns on my bag - it's coming along nicely!

Sitting in air conditioned comfort today.
Another hope quilt awaits binding too!
