Natures Journey Update

With the deadline looming I am sorry to say I won't be meeting it!

While in retreat recently I managed to get most of the centre block complete.

I have left the dragon fly and the butterfly. I won't be adding those little extras.

I am off to stitching tonight and have packed my NJ box. So tonight's plan is to
- cut the border
- trace and cut the diamonds and hopefully
- prepare the border for the diamonds.

I am not one for excuses but with work commitments and the uni course I haven't been able to balance time. I have taken a week off work in the hope that I can knock over the final essay for this course and then I can focus on NJ.

Well done to everyone as the progress is amazing.

Natures Journey

I definitely won't be making the deadline of having this block completed by this evening.

I am certainly giving it a red hot go.

Background pieced together

I am so pleased I had some time to piece my background. I didn't read the instructions properly and had to piece the large block back together. But I am happy with the result.

I haven't finished June blocks.

I have moved house! I am now back on the mortgage pathway. I am very excited to be in a great house.

This is my living area. Photo is taken leaning up against the kitchen bench.

I am nearly all sorted and can now start back on these blocks.

So glad to be back. Now I need to catch up in all the posts I have missed.

May blocks completed

I have been somewhat distracted of late; travelling for work, attempting to complete an assignment for university.

One success I can share are my May blocks and they are completed.

I like how they have turned out and have already cut out June blocks ready to start.

Mark me off please Chooky.

Natures Journey Part Three

This weekend I finished part three of Natures Journey.

I am loving using the iron on appliqué paper and the appliquick tools.

My blocks are slowly improving. Chooky please mark me off the sidebar as being finished.

March Update

I read the email and I have posted! I don't like the sound of the whip cracking.

So far, yes with two days to go...

Blocks completed.

Blocks needing to be completed.

I have had a huge month travelling with work as well as trying to get an 2000 word essay completed.

It is in draft form so I am going to spent an hour or so this afternoon working on the incomplete blocks before I begin to edit.

I am definitely enjoying the journey.

Making some progress

Working on blocks for part one.

One thing I am challenged with is centring the pieces. I guess as time goes on this may not be as much of a problem.

If anyone has any tips be happy to accept them.

Very excited....

Hello fellow stitch-a-long ladies.

I posted this on my blog and not on the stitch-a- long blog. Fingers crossed it works this time.

My name is Simone. I live in central New South Wales.
I love Anni Downs patterns and have completed a few quilts.

I am joining up with this Stitch-a-long in the hope of finishing what looks like a great quilt. I haven't done an Anni Quilt for a while.

I participated in the stitch a long two years ago making all of those great small projects.

I am looking forward to watching everyone do this quilt.

I have ordered my pattern and have begun searching for fabrics.
I am away at the moment so don't really know what goodness I have.

August tick

I am so pleased I chose to skip the stitching on the sewing case and fussy cut babushka dolls. I love how the case has turned out.

I will be making this case again!
