.. due to this.
I slipped and fell on an icy road on my way to work on December 13 and broke my left ancle,
had surgery the same day and came home the next.
Had the stitches from surgery removed today and next control is an x-ray on January 17.
So until then I'm in my bed and any walking is on one foot.
Despite the broken ancle is has been a lovely Christmas for me and DH.
A lot of friends have visited and brought flowers, sweets, books, food etc.
Yesterday our friends Laila & Tommy brougt us
a complete traditional danish christmas lunch.
I got the rest of my GJ stitcheries traced
and hope to be finished stitching
by the time I can get to my sewing machine again.

Oh dear me! I am so sorry to read this. Must have been very painful, wishing you all the best. Hope that you will do a lot of stitching after a while.
GOD BEDRING :-)
Oh Pia, ouch!!!! Just as well yolu are into your stitching otherwise I could imagine you getting very bored very quickly.
Get well and heal quickly.
hugs

Oh Pia......terrible news about your ankle but upside you will have plenty of time for stitching..........
hope it mends well and you gte a good report when you have the next xrays........
Ouch Pia...I hope your ankle heals well...good reason to keep stitching away...it won't take long once you are able to get to your sewing machine to whip up all the blocks...what nice friends to make sure you didn't miss out on Christmas lunch...
That is inconvenient - right before Christmas - then again I imagine you will be doing a LOT of hand sewing - maybe not so bad ?? (Better than breaking a wrist!)
Hej Pia, I am sorry to hear about your broken ancle. How unlucky. Hopefully it will heal up very soon, now you are free of the stitches.
Oh my goodness Pia, sorry to hear you have hurt yourself but as Chooky said .... great stitching time....

Sorry to hear about your ankle Pia....hopefully you have been able to get some stitching done....snow and ice can be treacherous! Hope you are being a good patient! I don't think I would be! Good luck with your x-rays!
