My "Sun Block"

I know what you are thinking.....
This doesn't look like a sun!!!
Well as much as I like lovely sun shiny days, I reallty don't
like sunshine on my face because it gives me freckles...ha ha....
But I do truly love "Christmas Pudding" especially
when it is made by my Nan or my Aunty....
So this was the inspiration for my block....
Wow only 3 blocks left to stitch....
Cat, Bird and Tree... Hmm what to do with those....
I hope you are all having a lovely long weekend...
Until next time, Happy Stitching
Kate

December in June

It's taken me a while and I don't know why?
It's been such a great way to spend the start of my long weekend.

I've also managed to keep up-to-date with my blocks
June blocks are now complete
First of my July block completed too.

Finally an update

Over the last few months I have been watching what others have posted and loving all the results.

I have done very little sewing - life just got too busy!

These are blocks I prepared in February. We're away for the long weekend - well a shorter version for me as I have to get kids back for rehearsals - but it's still time away.

So the project I have with me is My Favourite Things Quilt. Progress will be made this weekend.

I cooked before we came so the pantry is stocked with lots if cakes, mild fins and biscuits. So I'm prepared for the inevitable "I'm hungry!".

Hopefully there will be more to show by Monday.

My "Rainbow Block"...

I have changed my rainbow Block to a "Vintage Garden Gate"
Because they truly are one of my great loves.....
Keeping in "Anni" theme I used a Hatched and Patched
pattern and just made it a little bigger.....
I love it!
And wish I had one just the same....
Well it is "My" Favourite things quilt after all....
I have a couple of more changes planned also....
Until next time, Happy Stitching

Testing Testing......

This is a test post...have been playing with apps on the iPad and want to see if I can post from the iPad and include pics...links etc......

Trying to catch up...

I have been so busy and its taken loads of my free time...
But a few weeks ago I did decide I was going to catch on
on my SKOW...I am almost... he he...
I love the blocks so far.

I have embroidered a few since this was taken and
I am planning for the month of June to get up to date.
June is a slower month for me so I should be able.
 Wish me luck...

I am so pleased with how this one has turned out.

My "Book Block"....

This is my "Book Block"....
I decided to make mine into a photo album....
I like to read but also like to sit with the
kids and flip through the photo albums....
I have now finished all the blocks for the second row....

Only a Little Late....

Okay, so I'm 2 months and 5 days late! At least I'm still facing the right direction.
Here is my March block.

The blocks really come together quite quickly once the stitcheries are finished.
Ahhhh, on to 'that' tree. I wonder if I can give it a case of petal blight. Hmmm.

Happy Appliqueing,
Kayly

Almost there ...

Nights in front of the wood fire are proving very productive.

Not far to go now.

hugs, Sharon

Sewing Block Mini Quilts

A cold wet and miserable weekend saw me in my sewing room
getting a little bit done on my favourite things quilt.....
I sewed the Mini Quilts for the Sewing Block...
What was that crazy woman thinking they are so cute Anni....
Very fiddly but oh so cute when they were finished....
After a relaxing cuppa I stitched the little lovelies on....
So that's another completed block....
That leaves me with 6 to go!!!!
I am going to change the next 6 a little to suit my favourite things...
I might even start joining some strips together soon!!!!
Can't rush these things....Ha ha....
Until next time, Happy Stitching

May Progress by Kath

It is a long weekend here and I am making the most if it. Happy Birthday to the Queen. So my Queens Birthday stitching is going like this..... some finishes.... SKoW, My Favourite Things Quilt....

So that is where I am at with my blocks right now. I have fabrics, pattern book and light box on the dining room table as I write tracing off and cutting more to stitch while I watch a bit of tv in the evenings. I am really hoping to catch up this month. Famous last words eh???
I also made this little pillow as part of Anna's birthday present..... it is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it is cute!
Anna misses Zues quite a bit so I thought this wee pillow might help her a bit. My first prairie points!
Well to all of those enjoying a break over the weekend, I hope you all have some stitchy time to fill in the days.
Bye for now
Kath
