February Complete

I finally completed  February's  blocks! After much umming and arhing, I  settled on Suffolk Puffs (Yoyos), instead of the circles!

I chose Cottage Garden threads for the embroderiory used in February  blocks. The colours I selected  are:-
1201 Snapdragon
503 Peacock
1001 Red Carnation
605 Cherry Blossom
710 Farmers Market.

This was my first time undertaking  needle turn appliqué,  once I got the  hang of it, I  began to relax a little. Though it requires vast  improvement,  I am  reasonablely happy with the blocks.

Now to get rady for work. Hugs Sharon

Decisions, Decisions

I have been playing with fabrics for the  Natures Journey SAL.

Now I  think I have  finally  decided on  these thirties  style fabrics and the  background  will be either this cream or white.

Originally I  thought I would  be using Tilda, but have changed  my mind! I have some other scraps of thirties  prints that I  will more than likely  incorporate  as well.

I would welcome  any feedback,  please.

Do you think it would be ok to have the background  all the same colour,  eg the cream or white.

Hugs

January Complete and Pattern Arrival

Here is my January  stitchery, I used a Nancy Halverson fabric called Tidings for the border.  The binding Iam  unsure of.

Here is my copy of  Natures Journey,  it arrived from Patchwork  Angel last week!

Now I am deciding what  fabrics  to use. I am trying hard not to  purchase  any (who am I  kidding! ). Not sure if I  will go will brights or a mix of Tilda and oriental  fabrics. As to background colours,  I  have some rather (in my opinion)  nice lightish greys. I just wish I could decide  and stick to it.

Hugs  and Happy stitching

Sneak Peak of January SAL

Hello fellow SALers

Just wanted to share a sneak peak of my Christmas  Wishes  stitchery.

I just have to make up my mind  and decide  on the border  fabric, I  have narrowed  it down to a selection of three or four. Hopefully, will have the wall-hanging completed on my  days off  this week.

Hugs and Happy stitching
