Mark me off for March!

Better late than never, as they say ..... that's what I'm saying anyway! March blocks finished.

There seem to be quite a few finishes for April already! I have done most of the borders, will make a start on the applique this weekend so I'm not ducking and weaving the whip again at the end of the month.

Am loving seeing all your progress girls.

Missed by ...... that much?

With 1 day to go in March I am conceding I am not going to get there.... but I am making progress and the plan is to be back on track by the end of April! Will just have to try and dodge that whip until then....

As you can see, I have completed all the blanket stitch borders but have some applique to go.
Am loving reading all your posts and seeing your blocks!

My Feb Finished!

Have really enjoyed stitching these. As you can see, I opted for blanket stitch applique (its my favourite!). Although I bought most of my fabrics its lovely to be able to incorporate some old favourites from the scrap pile into the small appliques.
Great to see everyones versions! Will have a break from this one for the next week or so now. Keep up the good work stitchers!

January finish and some fabric!

Here is my Xmas Wishes finished...I have made it into a hanging ornament, apologies that I haven't photographed the back to show the pretty fabric, but believe me it is there! Very happy to have one project finished. I do love stitchery.
I've also been shopping (of course) and here are the fabrics I have so far for Natures Journey. Am looking forward to this one, with the small blocks it looks like it will be very achievable.
Was having some problems with my blog, just found Chookyblues fantastic tips and tutorials over on her blog. So now I have the SAL button! Thanks Chooky!
Great to be joining in with you all.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Marlene, and I am from the suburbs of Sydney. I notice there is another Marlene here already, although she is from Brazil, so I guess that makes me the other Marlene (or Marlene from Aus)!
Very excited to be joining in. I am another who has watched from afar on and off in the past. You seem like such a great group.
Thankyou so much to Chookyblue for signing me up, and for being so helpful and encouraging. I am a total newbie to the world of blogging.....but have managed to add the Natures Journey pic to my blog and I must say I am quite proud of myself.
Have ordered the pattern, so I am watching for the postie too.
I plan to do hand blanket stitch for the applique, have only tried needleturn once and it wasn't too neat! And I do love blanket stitch applique.
