Stitching madly!

January has almost finished...and so have I!

Hello! My name is Susan (aka suzitee) and I've participated in a few of the SALs in the past...A Gardeners Journal,  the Christmas one (WHAT WAS THAT ONE CALLED AGAIN?) and Some Kind of Wonderful....all finished and in use :)

I didn't sew along with the smaller projects...I'm more a BIG project kind of gal :) so I'm very excited to be stitching Anni's new pattern along with you all.

I haven't quite finished the stitchery yet...

...but it's the weekend, so anything is possible!

My pattern for Natures Journey arrived a while back, and I'm still deciding on colours...possibly overthinking it a bit! I'm swaying between a Flower Sugar version, and a Bonnie and Camille inspired version, using scraps from many of their collections. Either way, I'll be using lots of white, tone-on-tone prints for the background, along with some low volume prints.

I'm so excited to be participating in this group again...there is nothing like encouragement and whip-cracking to keep me on task :)

Best get back to my stitching!

January finish and some fabric!

Here is my Xmas Wishes finished...I have made it into a hanging ornament, apologies that I haven't photographed the back to show the pretty fabric, but believe me it is there! Very happy to have one project finished. I do love stitchery.
I've also been shopping (of course) and here are the fabrics I have so far for Natures Journey. Am looking forward to this one, with the small blocks it looks like it will be very achievable.
Was having some problems with my blog, just found Chookyblues fantastic tips and tutorials over on her blog. So now I have the SAL button! Thanks Chooky!
Great to be joining in with you all.

The Stitchery Is Finished For January

Just finished in the last 15 minutes is my stitchery.  I used CGT Hugs & Kisses and the fabric is from Lynette Anderson Designs.  It also fits my hanger perfectly.

January ... Tick

I finished the stitching on  'Christmas Wishes' last night and had plans of adding a fabric border today but the heat has melted away any thought of sewing.

On the cool side ... my pattern arrived this afternoon so I have some reading to do under the fan tonight.

January Done!

Hello Ladies,
Just thought I would pop back to show you all my little pillow.
I love the Tilda fabrics :0)
Now bring on the quilt!

It was hard to get a good enough light source to show up the variegated thread. So I took a few!

Keep it stitchy girls,

Intro and Christmas Wishes

Hello Ladies,
I'm Kel, from AlwaysApplique.blogspot.com.au
First Timer SAL participant. Thankyou to chookyblue and Susan for hosting this.

I've started the Christmas wishes Stitchery, decided to go with blue as I figured I have enough traditional looking xmas stuff. Loving the variegated thread. Love everyone's stitcheries so far.

Am hugely excited to start the quilt. I'm going to stash bust this one, I have a layer cake that will be the basis for the colour scheme.

Here's my Stitchery so far.

Nice to meet everyone and I look forward to our journey together.
Take care all,
Kel x

Helloooooo!!

Hi.  I am Michell from New Zealand and I have decided to join in on the stitch-a-long this year after watching from the sidelines for the previous ones. I have ordered my pattern, but as I just did not order the pattern but other things, I have to wait for it to be delivered as one of the items ordered is not yet in stock.

But until then I have this to fill in time.  I will look in my stash of Cottage Garden threads to see which one I want to use for it.

I still have not chosen my fabric to use for the stitch-a-long but have some Blueberry Crumb fabric in my stash, so will wait to see what the fabric requirements are then decide.
