All completed

Thanks to Chookyblue and Susan for coordinating a great year of projects! I've finished my needle book, only need to sew the button and loop: tis a finish for me!!! Was my first stitchalong and although I cursed a few deadlines I completed all nine projects! Yay me!!

I didnt even iron my bag, I just wanted to take pics and get them on the blog so I could have a big TICK from Chookyblue .....

 

I love all the different colourways everyone has been making...I pulled out Vienna Nights from the stash..turned out pretty good!

Finally an update....

Hi all, well finally I can show something achieved. I've managed to decide on my fabrics and have chosen these ones I have been given last year in a swap - Portobello Market from 3 Sisters, it will look great as I am doing my stitcheries in DMC 3863, a lovely latte colour.

And I can now declare that I have finished stitching Blocks G and A ...........

At the moment because of my back problems and being unable to sit and sew, I am just completing as many of the stitchery blocks as I am able. So I am still keeping on top of things, it just means that one month I won't have any stitching but lots of sewing.

I am enjoying doing this with all you other ladies, everyone's enthusiasm is such a buzz and keeps it  all alive for us all.

P.S Sorry about the wrinkling stitcheries, have just washed out the blue pen and they are wet.

Hi Everyone,
Deb here from The Angel and The Pukeko. I saw Chooky's post about the girls decision to start the Gardener's Journal and must admit I had a double think. Having had the book for ages, as one does when great books come out, I had looked at it regularly and this year I had actually put it on my pile of "attempt to achieve's". Then I told Chooky I was considering it, well that woman just doesn't take no for an answer, so here I am and I must admit I'm excited.
Apart from getting the book out and reading through it twice I haven't actually got any further so this week my plan of action is to sort through the thread containers (only 3 or 4 of them), sort through the stash (that won't take long cause its just a little one like everyone else's I am sure!) and then to decide exactly what sort of background I want, whip into town for somemore weaveline, sit myself at the table with the lightbox armed with my blue pen or maybe fine pencil and get onto it.
Gosh I feel exhausted already, maybe I should reconsider this. NO,NO,NO onwards and upwards with my stitching commrades in arms.
I promise I will post again as soon as I have made decisions about fabrics etc.
