woo hoo it's arrived and now fabrics choices to make...

Yeah my pattern arrived yesterday

 

so now I have been looking through my fabrics

 

I wanted to do something a little different from my norm

 

so have chosen these fabrics from Fig Tree to be my base

 

I will also add some Fig Tree scraps bags that include

some blues, peach and more deeper colours for contrast.

 

And I've just seen some February finishes so had better start ....

SO am impatiently waiting for my pattern to arrive....

Loving the January finishes and have to admit

was a bit excited to see the J next to my name....

 

I know my pattern is on its way BUT

of course would love to be starting it now...

 

also trying to keep my New Years resolution of finishing workshop

projects - you don't want to know how many of those I have.

A question for the ladies that have the pattern already -

do we need yardage or would a jelly roll and yardage work?

1st Challenge met

Finish Christmas Wishes before the SAL Quilt pattern arrives... DONE

 

I used my leftover threads to complete the picture using DMC, Cottage Garden Threads and Silk colours a little "mishmashed" but I'm using my stash.  The 2 1/2" Squares are Moda Christmas Countdown pack that I have in the shop and decided it's a good as any...not sure if shop stock counts as my stash but I'm using it.......

 

Now to wait impatiently for the pattern to arrive - thinking brights to take me outside my square but really not sure.
