SAL Updated Again...

It's my turn to do the updating and lots of people have been busy!! I can see some great quilt tops that are ALMOST finished!!

Do we need to do a count down until the end of the month for our TTS??

Who feels like they have fallen off the wagon - so to speak?

Is there a rule that you can't start the next SAL until you've finished the previous one?

I have my 2nd TTS quilt all pieced and ready for borders. I just have to find that motivation. Not sure where it's gone really!!

Anyways, the SAL is updated again. Give me a yell if I've missed anyone on here.

It's HOLIDAY time here when Master 6 gets home from school this afternoon. So excited about no uniforms, early bus times, packed lunches etc. YIPPEE!!

Happy Holidays!!

Good Morning Girls!

Just wanted to let you know that I've done some updating (for Chookyblue) this morning. I hope I've not missed anyone!! If I have, please let me know (farmyardcrafts@gmail.com) and I can fix it up!

Yes, Chookyblue is fine. Just crazy busy right now. This is one little thing I can do to help her out.

Rightio - that's it from me. I better get organised. The grocery shopping doesn't do itself! Gee I am so jealous of you 'city girls' that can do your shopping online and have it delivered! We have an hour to drive to town before we can even think about doing the shopping!!

Maybe we should stop eating?! Okay, not really an option. I best go get ready!!

Have a great weekend girls and congratulations on lots of finishes and a few more finished quilts to add to the list!

FINISHED!

I finally finished Tis The Season (Quilt #1) this morning. I have had the quilting finished on it for a few days but I just needed time to sew the binding on (so I could then spend some time on the couch!!) so I could hand sew it down. I stole some extra time this morning while my babe was sleeping and finished sewing down the hanging pocket.
I found that I hadn't quite finished stitching the star on this block! Oops! I'll have to sink the knots and finish stitching it!!
Thanks heaps to Chookyblue for running the Stitch-A-Long. I haven't finished yet though! I have 12 blocks all stitched and bordered for quilt #2. I'll have to get into that one and have it finished for myself for Christmas!! If I get that one finished on time I may just have to start something new (or finish something old!)!
Thanks girls for the motivation!

Update for Me!

Here's a photo of the 2nd set of 12 blocks I've made for quilt #2. My little helper (as you can see) was trying to get in the limelight again! At least he seems to be feeling well enough to get involved!

My first quilt is going along nicely. I probably have about another 2 hours of hand quilting to do and then I can get the binding done. My hope is that I'll have it finished to enter it in my local show in 3.5 weeks. Should have plenty of time between now and then to get it done!

Quilt Top #1

I got busy on Friday and organised my blocks and stitched up my first quilt top. I have had to order backing fabric and also more fabric for the borders on quilt #2. I'm so excited to have it at this stage. I have half a block left to stitch and then I've got all my blocks done for quilt #2 as well.

So exciting to see that people have totally finished their quilts too!!

Phew... a couple of months up my sleeve!

I've been working hard to make sure I avoid that whip cracking!! I have now finished another 6 blocks. That brings my total to 18 blocks (as I am sewing two quilts the same). Again, I am really enjoying these stitcheries. It only takes a bit over an hour to feel like I've achieved something!

These are the last two fabrics I'm using for my last 6 blocks. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they'll all look like together!

Hope that no one else has experienced the whip!! ;)

TTS Enjoyment....

I have really enjoyed stitching the TTS blocks. I now have 6 of the blocks done (March, April and one from June) for my quilt and the same done for a 'spare' quilt. I have to get sewing and do the borders on the other remaining 12 blocks though. They are such great blocks to stitch in front of the tv and it's quite rewarding to be finished them so quickly!!

Sorry, Chookyblue, for not sticking to the schedule... I figured while there was fire I should let it burn! ;) I don't particularly want to experience the whip cracking later when I get slack!!

Excited to be joining in.....

I'm really excited to be joining in on this SAL for 'Tis the Season. It's going to be loads of fun getting to know people and hopefully get a quilt finished at the end of it!!
I have chosen some French General fabrics for my quilt. They are from two different ranges... one is La Petite Ecole and the other is Maison De Garance. I think they'll look great together and I'm so excited to start on the quilt.

It's going to be a good thing to actually have Christmas items finished FOR CHRISTMAS! Good luck to everyone... here's hoping we can motivate each other to keep going with this great project. Thanks to Chookyblue for running it!
