There was a lot of stitching in that appliqué!!….but its done … bring on August

My dog ate my homework!!

True!..she did!!.. but I got it back...
My glue pen didn't survive though!!….she munched the lid to bits!! :(

June finished…I know, one small square has a circle… but I seem to have a heap of hearts!!

I'm really enjoying seeing everyones blocks…we're over the hump and heading to the home stretch now!!  WhooHoo…or maybe the centre panel is the hump!!??

I'm really enjoying this project and its so nice to be stitching along with all of you…. I'm loving all the different interpretations of Anni's pattern too!

Last month I had the wrong butterfly and my initial … that should be in this month.. OH well!… at least they are done!

I had a lovely stitching day with friends today ...with lots of birthday surprises and these fabulous patty cakes.. ...Happy birthday to the chookshed too!!

April cruising

I've just had a wonderful holiday in USA.. Cruising the Mississippi River for 6 days on the American Queen paddle steamer....visiting an Amish community in Ohio.. And ending up at  Paducha, for Quilt week!....   Of course My Natures Journey blocks came too.. And therefore April is complete.

March finish

An early finish!.. (for me)… there is still 2 days to go!

I doggy sat my grand dog this weekend…. she was very enthusiastic about my block photo shoot!

So cute… she kept adding sticks to the pile.
Bring on April!!… I'm really enjoying this journey.

Having a retreat weekend at a winery!!  (just a little wine between stitches)....

Put in a big effort in the wee hours this morning..and wallah!!.... Feb finished!

Just a little setback....was that too much wine??

February Procrastination

As usual… I'm dragging the chain!

I actually can't decide what to do!

As I thought I'd like a retro effect… I thought I'd put ric rac circles around my appliqué.
I found a lovely linen ric rac..but now think it looks too heavy.. Also I bought all they had.. now I don't think there will be enough for the small squares  :(

Then I found a lovely small blue ric rac…. stitched it on with grey thread… and it looks too solid!! even when I use blue thread… you can't see the little waves….

I'm loving everyone else's work… do you think I should give up and blanket stitch????

I've also just had cataract surgery on my right eye last Thursday…(and the left eye 4weeks ago) so seeing anything close up is a little frustrating at the moment!!..

Does this mean I can get an extension Chooky???? PLEASE?????

My pattern has arrived… I'm in Sydney at the moment.. so tomorrow I'm off on a material hunt….AS If I haven't got enough at home already!!!

a start on January

Well, I have made a start on the January project!..Thought I would get a lot done.. (very unforgiving attempting cream stitching on red)… when your half blind!!

 BUT.. it has come to an abrupt halt… due to this!!…. cataract surgery today

Hopefully this will be a temporary setback and I will stop seeing 2 of everything … soon!
