This is Michelle's book - as well as the quilt there are a number of other projects in it too.....
... and Guess What? Raewyn and I are going to host a Stitch-A-Long and we would love you to join us.

Although Michelle did her quilt using Needleturn Applique, it lends itself well for blanket stitch (hand or machine) and there is some stitchery too as well as the piecing of the blocks, which are not complicated at all.....
I have a fat 1/8th pack of Anni Downs fabrics - and bought a bit of extra's for borders and background.... this is what I'll be using....

Well this is really exciting..Yes please count me in..I already have the book on my bookshelf so all I need to do now is sort out some fabric (and that is usually what takes me the longest)..Thank you for the chance to join you on this journey...and all the best as you host it for us
Oh exciting stuff.... and I have that fabric put aside for a Christmas project, so very tempting.

I am all over this one Fiona! I have seen Michelle's original quilt and it is stunning! Plus I have a signed copy of Michelle's book which she so graciously gave me when I was over visiting. What a day that was. Maybe again one day. And to top it off my name (Holly) is all over this quilt! Just meant to be! Oh why not! I have the book ... its safely in the sewing room (buried treasure in there) .
I have tried to resist but I think I am failing. The book calls me, the blog calls me, the quilt calls me. Oh what the heck, why not. Just fabrics are not calling me, so does that mean I need to go shopping?
You girls have twisted my arm. This quilt looks so lovely and cute. Hopefully can use some of my stash up. otherwise will be hitting some online fabric shopping.
