Another one down, one to go ...
Look Chooky!! I got my 23rd block finished!!!
I was working on this block, little by little over the course of last week, since finishing off my 'sewing' block. For some reason I enjoyed the needleturn over the stitchery this time, lol, which felt like it was taking forever *wink* ... especially all that hair!!! *giggle*
I've drawn up some ideas for my last block, but not quite decided yet. I'm thinking I'll either go with my original choice of wine & cheeses, or my new option: gymnastics (I did it for eleven years from a young age, coached littlies for several years, and now my daugther has been going for over 3 years!! I LOVE watching it, and often find myself scrutinising the gymnasts as a judge would, lol!).
I'm going to give myself a couple of days to mull over the ideas, and start on the cutting for a pieced quilt for my bed I've been wanting to make for a couple of years while I decide ... I also have WIPs, UFOs and USOs (Un-Started Objects *wink*) to sort through and organise, amongst other things this week.
Have a crafty kinda week xx

Now It's Done
After all the ups and downs of the thread issue - the silk one I ordered was totally different to the cotton one one but still nothing like the original - I have finished the heart and appliqued it on.
I used some plain threads and swapped colours a lot. I was lucky in that the variegated thread had long lengths of each colour - so it was easy enough to blend in.

What a fun year it has been - I have certainly made things I wouldn't normally have chosen to make - but none of them were so onerous that it was a chore - and we have all had a lot of fun along the way.
As always I learnt things along the way - including that it doesn't always pay to pre-prepare things in advance - since your ideas might change as you go along.
Thanks everyone for all the fun & friendship - it is always good to see how you put your interpretation on a project - some stick to the project and follow the colours and some go way away, but in the end it needs to be what you like and what you want to end up with.
Again, a huge hug and thank you to Chookyblue and I will lend my voice to the group cry "Can we do it again...PLEASE"

Needle Case - Tick
Life has been pretty hectic but I did manage to get my needle case finished a few weeks ago, but forgot to blog about it........ story of my life at the moment.
I did get my June pincushion finished,
I posted it on my own blog but forgot to put it on here - sorry ladies!
I have really enjoyed being part of the SAL journey, I only had to use one pass (July hexie bag). I haven't been as active in my participation as I would have liked - study has been getting in the way. However if Chooky was to do it again next year - then please count me in!
No study for me next year.
I would also like to show off my SKoW quilt that is finished. I love it!!!!
Thankyou to the talented Belinda Betts for her wonderful quilting
- it really makes the quilt pop!
Thankyou to everyone for sharing this journey, I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's interpretations of the projects.
Take Care - Ann x

MIA - well in UK atm
Well done to all those ladies who have completed their projects. I ran out of time with organising my market goodies before we left for overseas last weekend. I have them at the top of my list of things to do when we return in November.

Better Late Than Never
I have completed my needle case, a little late, but Oh well.... Sewing should be stress less....
Thank you Chooky for a great stitch along. This is the first one I have ever done and it did make me get motivated to finish projects. I have completed them all and given some away as gifts already.
It was also a great way to complete more than one project out of those beautiful books. thanks for organising it for us.
Thank you to all the ladies who participated , I have enjoyed looking at your stitching and seeing your creativity in each project. Happy Stitching.
