1st SAL.....Peg, Dale and I committed to stitching Anni Downs - A Gardener's Journal in March. I blogged about this on my blog thinking maybe one or 2 others may join us and lots of girls indicated an interest so I decided to start this blog where we can all encourage each other to meet the goals set along the way....March 2010 -March 2011...........
2nd SAL ......well so many of the girls wanted to continue on with another project and some new girls joined us and now approx 91 girls are stitching Natalie Bird's Tis the Season. March to Sept 2011...............
3rd SAL....many girls want to stick with the SAL so now we have moved onto Anni Downs Some Kind of Wonderful - My Favourite Things Quilt.......Oct 2011-Oct 2012.........
Where are we now.....
4th SAL 2013...is numerous smaller projects from the previous 2 books Tis the Season and Some Kind of Wonderful plus some projects from Red Home by Natalie Bird approx 60 ladies stitching together.........
2014 we had the year off..............
5th SAL 2015..........inspired to continue we are doing another quilt project.....Anni Downs newest quilt Natures Journey.....
6th SAL 2017.............A Holly Cottage Christmas by Michelle Ridgway.......once again the pattern is in an affordable book so it is easy for everyone to join in...........and you can raid your stash for the fabrics........or lash out and buy a the whole lot........this SAL will be run by Fiona aka Bubz Rugz and Raewyn........

Wow what can I say.............

I have just caught up on 33 posts (from Helen's post 30th June)...................you girls have been so busy.................the sidebar is updated...............Sabine not sure if I have the correct total for you let me know.................
A Gardener's Journal............
What did I see................well Lorraine posted her finished Gardener's Journal and I just got an email from Jytte and posted pics of her finished GJ quilt too.............beautiful girls...............
Kris(GJ list) finally got her butt into gear and got some more done on her GJ quilt...........come on Kris those last 2 blocks won't take long............
I know Kylie has her blocks together - hope you can share it here Kylie.............
Come one Tess, Teresa get moving Helen and I are cracking the whip...........Anita hope you have some progress with you when I see you this week..............Jo do you have those borders on yet...........come on Sonia, Lynda and Nicky...............Shauna do you have your first block together yet??? Would love to see what fabrics your going with.............

Tis the Season..............
I had heaps of blocks to update the sidebar and our first finished quilts...........well done Marg and Vickie..........Lorraine and Jennifer have there tops together...............Maree (Farmyard) is nearly finished hand quilting the first quilt..........Dale is working on quilting her first one too...........
About time Dawnie showed us some blocks.............she had been busy and no stitching time but she found some time and she is like a stitching demon working on some other gorgeous BOM's and finally some TTS blocks............Suzie where are you..........I know you have been stitching........did a little birdies tell me you had all the blocks finished.......Kris (TTS list) started stitching her 2nd TTS quilt.................
We spoilt Deb with a group contribution (which Michel'e finished) her own TTS..........her nerves are a little tattered with all the earthquakes and temors still happening...........she shed some tears of joy......
So........
How is everyone going with there June blocks.............we're aiming for 9 finished by the end of June............the end is in sight.................keep up the fantastic stitching...............the group support and motivation is wonderful.............
Hope you're staying warm or cool no matter where you are in the world...............
Off to Saturday sport so will take some stitching with me.......better get my June blocks done or you girls will be after me..............lol.............

Chooky... I've got 24 blocks finished.... and just the one quilt together and being quilted. The other 12 blocks are still in pieces.

I'm so amazed at everyone's progress! It's so exciting to see!

I think the encouragement (and whip) really is an awesome force. It's almost like it's power takes time to build and is at an all time high now some 18 months or so into the life of this blog. I think there's magic at work here people!

Thanks for the update Chooky!! Yes, my stitching all done, just need to clear the dining table to cut the fabric and sew! Single parenting for over a week now with three kids and one with croup - would rather be sewing!!! hehehe. Am enjoying watching everyone else's work though..seems all I have time for is a view some blog posts then I just crash!! Happy stitching everyone.

Oh you are making me feel guilty! I haven't started June blocks yet...my sewing mojo seems to be missing. Hopefully things will return to normal when kids back to school next week!
