November - Susan Oh 2 Sew

Somehow I missed posting my November block - I have back dated the post so its about the right time.
Here it is - only a small design change this month.

November Finish

My turn to post a finish! I had great fun making this block, and a hard time remembering to photograph it! Yes, you're right. It's backwards. Why break a winning streak?
 

  The vine was done with a lovely variegated Sassa Lynne Serendipity color that I've had since about 2008 or 9. The lettering is DMC perle 8 in turkey red 498.

Singing Carols in November —

Just finished my October blocks. Now onto November. 

Singing Carols - November

How is everyone getting along with their blocks?

I am wishing a lot that we had started earlier and that my quilt top would be ready for Christmas?  I wonder if you feel the same .... at least we have next year to look forward to it ...

I had a couple of days at a retreat this weekend and got my November block put together....

They really are very sweet pictures and I love the relatively simple blocks to hold them all together...

Ooops - I was early last month and very late for October!

Here is my October block - another re-design - based on the future recipient's request - apologies again Michelle.

It does look a bit bare - the reindeer will get an eye and the background will get quilted with some snowflakes and maybe some "landscape" detail.

Just as well my November block is well ahead!

Gosh it's hard to believe we are over half way through this now (well, if we've kept up, that is!). I've done a bit more joining lately so once I've taken some more photos I can share those too - I'm so excited with how it's coming along!

Susan: First Row

Hello, Everyone! I've missed you all the last week. My computer died and it took a week's mail to get another one. It's used and I almost thought I was going to have to send it back, but when I downloaded the latest iOS, it's been working fine. So, here's a pic! I finished the October block last week and couldn't upload to IG after they updated on Wednesday, so I hope they update again soon and fix that! I sewed the top row all together and I just love it!
 

I have beads to add, but will probably put those in after quilting.

Here is my little birdie with the envelope block.....

Very sweet...... I am enjoying the applique and piecing in each of these blocks....

Thats 5 out of 9 blocks done now ..... over half way to a quilt!

September Block

Wow...even shocked myself that I have October block done. It helped that I had the perfect Christmas Postcard fabric and could fussy cut a card. A quick stitch Sunday night and ...

Been on Retreat

Nothing like a few days away on retreat to catch up on a stitch a long. 

I still have to do some embroidery on a couple of the blocks. 

This is a beautiful quilt to work on.

Put the finally stitches in my Blocks for Sept this morning.....

Now I hope to make a start on next months and not have to rush to finish..

September Block

I finished up September's block today....As you can see, I've done the heart and stars instead of the one with the three stars...I don't think it really matters as they're the same size....

 I have the smaller star and heart blocks ready to applique so I'll take them on my upcoming trip....I've decided to copy Susan and do a nativity instead of the post block...it won't have very much embroidery so I should have that one finished before the end of October..
