After MUCH procrastination over fabric selection, and then even more delays choosing threads, I finally made a start on Part One of our lovely new stitchalong.
I started with a layer cake of Miss Kate by Bonnie and Camille, and built on my fabric selections from there. As a lot of my projects do, it morphed into a combination of red, aqua, pink and apple green, with a little burnt orange and navy thrown in for good measure :)
Was it wishful thinking to stitch "2015" do you think?
My outline stitching is all done in DMC 803, which I'm going to have to stock up on! I've used almost a whole skein just on Part One....yikes!
Feels great to be up-to-date...maybe now I can put together a project featuring my Christmas stitchery? I really have no idea what to make with it...a cushion perhaps? A gift bag? Or maybe use it as a centrepiece for a tablerunner? Best get my thinking cap on!

great blocks Suzitee......YES you will get this finished in 2015....
goodluck with your Christmas project.......
I just ADORE your fabric choice. I don't think you can ever go wrong with B&C. Look forward to seeing more. I haven't cut into any of my B&C as they are reserved for other projects I'm yet to start. Can't wait to get a scrap tub of just B&C.
The hardest part is deciding which lot of fabrics - they look great. 2015 it is!!! (???)
All your colours are wonderful and bright !
going to be wonderful.... I always find choosing the fabrics take ages too...
