I am posting this for my adopted Blogger Suze......... Hugs KateS....
After much debate, I have narrowed my fabric choice down to these:
I am lucky enough to work at Cobar Quilt Shop a couple of days a week. We have these Nancy Holvorsen fabrics, "Forever Spring" - my family gave me these for my birthday this year;). Perfect for the Some Kind of Wonderful quilt! I also have selected these from my "stash" and purchased a few new ones for the beige tones-background fabrics...
So...here I go! With maybe a few changes here and there as I find new fabrics... I am sick of reading about needle turn techniques, I think I have read every internet entry on the subject! Just going to wing it, maybe try a couple of different ones and see what I like best. I plan on changing a couple of the blocks a bit...making them a bit more relevent to me...Question: is changing the "old blue jeans" to "comfy trackie daks" daggy? lol...Please tell me what you think. I am on the SAL side bar Suze ( adopted by Kate ). Thankyou Kate for adopting me.. and Chookyblue for letting her!!!
Catch you later....Suze.... http://suzeblack-bearsmum.blogspot.com/

Well the quilt is called 'My Favourite Things'...and if tracky daks are in your favoourite things...it must be okay!
Those fabrics are great and will look lovely ... I'm learning needleturn too and trying different ways... hope fully by the end of the quilt Iwill know how I like doing it!! Totally make the quilt how you want it and with your favourite things ...

Absolutely change it - anyway that suits you! And if you live in Cobar I can well understand that in winter especially Tracky Daks are the thing! Love your fabrics
- I nearly went for Nancy Halvorsen myself but decided to stick with my stash (in part anyway)
Sorry but don't know what those are...your fabrics are lovely...its alright to make the blocks more personal...
Mama Bear
Please, please change the jeans! I can't wait to see the trackie daks!!!! Beautiful fabrics by the way.
Thankyou all for your comments! I will change a couple of things to make it more "me"...Sorry Mama Bear, trackie daks are "track suit bottoms" , "daks" is a slang term for trousers or pants;) Have a great day fellow SAL's!
looking great Suze......can't wait to see it come together.......
