I did post on my site the fabrics I have chosen for this SAL--
Most of them are from 'Juliet's song'--they are just the right colors for this quilt and--
as a bonus--they are the right colors for me!!!!!!!!!
And on Saturday--
I did this--
Got the first five all prepared for the applique and embroidery work--
and I got the applique done on the suitcase block--
I am hoping to get the applique done on each block --
at the rate of one per day this week--
we will see?????
I was not in the group for the Gardner's Journal--
but I had the pattern and over half of the blocks embroidered when I learned of the Tis The Season SAL--so joined that and then also got to work on the Gardner's Journal one--
but with summer--I did not get it all hand quilted--
but I am working on it alittle at a time now that it is cooler--
So are we not having some fun now---
Be good you all--cause--
Santa is making his list--
and he is checking it twice to see who has 'earned' some more fabrics!!!!
Hugs, Di and her kitty!!!

Beautiful fabric selection and a great start.
Love that fabric for the suitcase - its just "so right" and I also love the reds/pinks in Gardeners Journal.
GREAT start! Great colors & fabric choices! Do you use freezer paper? On top or bottom?
Sorry... looks like "on top"! I was dreading the suitcase but now I'm motivated :)
Hi Di, Your GJ looks super. I like the fresh colours you have used:-)
Good luck with your next SAL!
good start Di..........and your GJ looks great......enjoy your hand quilting..........
Love the fabric colours for the skow quilt!
Looking good...you're smart to get them all ready like that at the beginning...I did mine one at a time and found that the stitchery goes better if I do it first....love the fabrics.
