One thing I learnt is when you trim your stitchery blocks back to 4.5 inches, you have to be very accurate with the cutting. A couple of millimetres one way or the other & the stitched outline can disappear into your 1/4 inch seam. I'm not sure I am happy with the bottom block for this reason so the quick unpick may have a job to do soon because it is niggling at me.
I red dots fabric I wasn't sure about has found it's place & I'm happy with it now.
Happy stitching

I love your fabric! Much like the original...I can't believe your progress - well done to you!
wow that was quick...looking good...dzintra
Love the snowflake-on-white inner border!
wow. That was a quick start. I havn't got my book yet. Hope it will soon arrive,so that I can start as well. Lovely blocks you have made.
Kitty, this is so pretty, I love how the colors of the fabrics look...you did a great job choosing...I was tracing my patterns side by side and realized some were too close so I may have to do some over or leave out the outline stitches..we'll see.

Hey Tracee they look great....great fabrics....but I think the boots top border would annoy me too much like it is niggling at you and I would undo it now and fix up.......the blocks aren't too big for reverse sewing..........lol......
Looks great Tracee.... Glad you have some blocks with white & red as that is what I was thinking about and I was wondering how it would look. Seeing yours, I'm off to pick out my fabric. Thanks Fiona
very pretty indeed
Love your fabric choices Tracee... Thanks for sharing. I too was wanting to use white & red fabrics but wasn't sure how it would look beside the stitchery. It looks great so I'll join you with that choice.
Looks great in red/white...thanks for the heads up on the potential issue with the stitched outline v seam allowance...I love your red dots fabric...I tossed up whether to use red/white, looks so great I just may use that combination on other book projects...
