Still Here

I am still here and I did do some stitching of my blocks last week.  

Currently I am doing an assignment as part of being a lovely preceptor for all those nursing students and new graduates I look after often, which is due in the morning ...... bad me just starting typing it today.

Have for the last 3 months been doing night shift every 12 days too, so am a bit knackered, because also have been away to the South Island a few times for job interviews with hubby.

The year must get better!!!

Still Here

Just to let you know I am still here. Not much done on the stitch-along in the last month.  Have been sick and had a quick trip to the South Island.  In the last week have got back to sewing again, but now on night shift again.  Strangely enough I seem to start sewing when this arrives, so hopefully another post soon.

Yay ..... Finally March Done

Well you can't see half my kitchen table as I have my Natures Journey stuff all over it.  If I left it in the sewing room it would not sit and look at me all day to move me along.

So I have finally finished March and half way there with April

I have come to yet another conclusion me, points and circles do not get along.

I Have a Catch Up Plan

I have a plan.  

I have blanket stitched the outsides of March and April and am now going to applique the centres on.

I will do this over two nights after I finish my night shifts (yep I am doing them....again so soon)

I have cut out and drawn circles and squares for the other months.

I will catch up.

The last couple of months have been stressful here.  I will not go into to much detail but sometimes the last thing I want to do is stitch sometimes, but crossing my fingers things get better here.

I thought this year was going to be a good year.....it still may be..... fingers crossed.  I will divulge into it more at a later date.

Can start up again

Finally got my threads today, so I can start up and do the blanket stitch.  I am vowing to catch up.  I know what I will be doing tonight

February Blocks ..... Finally

As per my last post, here are my February blocks.  I have not trimmed them yet and do not look to closely at the applique.  This is a learning adventure for me and I just can not get those hearts right, but I have now got some of that semi-water soluble applique paper to help me on my applique journey.

I call the wonky applique my personal touch and those words that come out off my mouth are also part of getting that personal touch .... haha.

I have started March but have run out of thread for my blanket stitch which I am using Blue Wren from Cottage Garden Threads but they are on order.

Yay Feb is Done

So happy I have finally finished my February blocks.  Will take a picture and post it in the next couple of days.  My needleturn is not great, but hope it is better as the months go by.

Just glad to get them done. Now onto March.

Finally Some Are Started

I have finally started.  Better late than never and am sure I will catch up fast

I am still here, but the last month I have been so busy, it was unbelievable, but things are slowing down now so I hope to get my blocks done.

I do have all the supplies just to start now, so keep an eye out for me

The Stitchery Is Finished For January

Just finished in the last 15 minutes is my stitchery.  I used CGT Hugs & Kisses and the fabric is from Lynette Anderson Designs.  It also fits my hanger perfectly.

It's Arrived

Yay, my pattern has arrived from Patchwork Angel along with some other goodies I ordred at the same time.

Now to look and check my stash of fabric

Hi.  I am Michell from New Zealand and I have decided to join in on the stitch-a-long this year after watching from the sidelines for the previous ones. I have ordered my pattern, but as I just did not order the pattern but other things, I have to wait for it to be delivered as one of the items ordered is not yet in stock.

But until then I have this to fill in time.  I will look in my stash of Cottage Garden threads to see which one I want to use for it.

I still have not chosen my fabric to use for the stitch-a-long but have some Blueberry Crumb fabric in my stash, so will wait to see what the fabric requirements are then decide.
