Recently, following the Girls day in the Country, Chooky, Peg & Dale floated the idea of a Gardeners Journal stitchalong. I immediately felt a twinge of shame...I had started this quilt several years ago & it remained unfinished. Blocks all sewn together...borders on...but I thought about 4 stitcheries were not done. Dear Chooky said ..."join in & get it finished"...but when I looked there were only 2 blocks not stitched.Oh where had the inspiration deserted me...what made the dovecote & resting gardener prove so difficult to finish??????
Probably nothing...just life got in the way!I love redwork, so that was my theme...fabrics purchased on a trip to Berrima.

So, with the encouraging (read bullying) support of DD (my personal drill sergeant)...it is finished...done...complete...ready to quilt!
Thankyou ladies for helping me across the line...your support & encouragement have made this possible!
I am enjoying following you all...so enjoy the journey everyone...it is one very sweet quilt!

Such a beautiful quilt you have, super fabrics, very nice indeed. "Lucky you" having almost finished, one part of me says, the other part is really enjoying the very start of this beautiful quilt-to-be. Plenty of time, so no rush for me, just lovely to sit here stitching.
Happy Quilting.
