These are most of my fabrics - the cream in the front is for my stitcheries. The rest are all by Blackbird Designs. The five inch squares are Beach House by Blackbird Designs. I think I need a few more in the green tone. Any ideas on what colour to use for my stitcheries? One colour or all, I can't decide. I have browsed through this Stitch-A-Long and everyone's fabrics and colours are beautiful. Can't wait to get started as soon as I get my book.

Seems you and I are in the same spot. Anxious to begin but waiting for the book. I haven't bought any material for the stitcheries. I have that cream on my post but I don't think it would be enough for all the blocks. I talked to a talented friend today who has done red ware. She uses a fine pigment pen in red. She said that way the thread hides any mistakes. I am kind of leaning toward one color at this point.
Your fabric is very pretty.

I'm doing mine on cream homespun, just because it goes well with the colours I've choosen. Looking at the photos it seems a variety of different materials are being used. The book suggested tea stained, which of coruse goes really well with the material Anni Downs used. My friend is using 2 different ones - one for the small stitcheries and a different one for the larger stitcheries.
Sorry, my rambling is really no help at all.
Oops, I hope I wasn't confusing. The cream is for my stitcheries and the other colours are for my blocks. I meant do you think I should use one thread colour or a variety of thread colours for the stitcheries.

Lori,
I think your fabric choices are just gorgeous.
I personally prefer stitching in different colors, but that's just me. I can't wait to see your blocks going together.
You're off to a great start!!!
What pretty fabrics, looking foward to seeing what you decided for the thread colour or colours.
