Hi there, I am Nicky from Farm Girl Stitching over the ditch in NZ. I couldn't believe my luck, when I saw news of a Stitch Along for Gardeners Journal on Jo's Vintage Lane Stitches blog. I have had this quilt on my to do list for a number of years, with the border fabric purchased and put aside, I would get this piece of fabric out every now and then. and dream of actually completing the quilt. I love stitchery, but am by no means an expert quilter, so I hope this will be a great project for me. Below is my selection of fabrics I am planning to use. There are a couple I am not sure about, so maybe there could be some minor changes to these. The stripey one in the photo seems almost black, but IRL is dark green, also not sure about the golden brown one in the middle of the pile. I'll keep playing until I'm happy before the final cut though!
I intend doing some tracing over the next couple of days, so will hopefully be back soon with some progress.
Till then, thank you all so much for having me, and I can't wait to get stitching!
