40%.......

Everyone is stitching away so well.........40% of the group have finished the "G" block............some girls started on "A" and that is fine........so long as we get a block done each month............we still have 10 days till the end of the month.........go for it.............another lady joined the group tonight.........
I have to get some more thread............can you believe I have all these blues plus more but not DMC 930.........Fairy Girl helped me sort out all my threads into number order........think this will be better then colour order...
HELP
Do you know if you can just buy the white cards (plastic or cardboard) to wind the threads onto and put in my thread keeper box????

Do you think 3 skeins of DMC thread will be enough to stitch the rest of the quilt.......???????
Catch you later..............

Yes, you can buy the cards only to roll your thread on. I like the plastic ones better. If you can't find them, let me know and I can send them to you.

I like the plastic ones better also but use the cardboard ones for a kit sometimes when the thread comes with the cross stitch.
I am new to this and I need some pointers. I've read all of your posts. I see that there are different background fabrics being used for the stitcheries and different stabilizers. I would like some advice there. What are you using, Chooky?

Hi Chooky, try Spotlight for your refil cards or even your local shop that sells stranded threads. They usually come in packs of 50. Good luck, Miche'le

Hi Chooky. You can get packs of the cards as the others have said. They have them here at Hobbysew in Canberra. Do you want me to send you some? Your blue stitching looks great. I fear I may not have my block done as I am waiting on the border fabric to choose my other fabrics. Will just plod on with the stitching.

Hey Donna! My what pretty blues you have ... probably the only time that 'having the blues' is a good thing! :0) And yes, I can believe having lots of blues and not quite the right one ... I do that with green quite often!! Can never have too much green, though! Tee! Hee! Hee! Hmmm ... If I was you, I'd get four or five skeins of your DMC 930, just to be on the safe side for your stitching cos I find you use more than you think (I used four or five red skeins for my red and green Bronwyn Hayes quilt) and it's not like your thread will 'go off' or be out of date, right! :0) Happy stitching! Bear Hugs! KRIS

Hi, Yes you can buy the white plastic embroidery thread holders. Lincraft and spotlight have them. Good luck.

I got mine at Spotlight only cardboard. Do you need me to send you some.... I think you'll need more then 3 as I have nearly finished a couple of colours already. You are using only one colour. I can grab you some and send more if you need them.
Just let me know. Might be going to spotlight today.
