Popping in for a quick post to say hello. I'm so pleased to be joining you all for this year's SAL. When I saw the variety of projects planned for 2013 I find it impossible to resist. I don't own any of the pattern books but should hopefully have them by the end of the week.
I'm wodering if someone might be kind enough to let me know the requirements for the thread baskets. I'd like those to be my first project. I'm off to Spotlight tomorrow and as it's a long trip, I thought it would be great if I could buy what I needed for the baskets.
Thanks so much for having me here.

2nd SAL ......well so many of the girls wanted to continue on with another project and some new girls joined us and now approx 91 girls are stitching Natalie Bird's Tis the Season. March to Sept 2011...............
3rd SAL....many girls want to stick with the SAL so now we have moved onto Anni Downs Some Kind of Wonderful - My Favourite Things Quilt.......Oct 2011-Oct 2012.........
Where are we now.....

Hi Dot and welcome... you don't need too much and you could actually use up some scraps... you will get one (outside and lining) out of a fat quarter.... so what you buy will depend on how many you want???? also some iron on pellon ...

I don't have the Red Home book yet De, but Susan let me know 8"x5" and 1.5" for the corners. Have fun!
Hi Chookie, unfortunately the books that I ordered Red Home and Tis The season is over. I bought them from Home Patch.com.au but do not know when they will tell me.
I'd like to make the thread catcher and I would like to kindly ask if someone can send me the pattern to make it.
Unfortunately I do not know if I can participate in the Sal February and March due to lack of books.
Thank you and happy week end, Emanuela
