Finished....and on time.......and very happy....!!

Well, I have learned that it is fun to stitch-a-long with others and see the many varied versions, and varied techniques that emerge. This has been a first for me, and definitely not the last.....

I have enjoyed the little stitcheries, and very pleased with the final result. I decided to hand quilt around the darker borders with perle thread and it turned out just as I'd hoped.

Picked up the outer border fabric at Spotlight, and I like it.....adds a bit of pizzazz, and brightens it all up...

....so I'm all ready for the Silly Season to begin now.....and the calendar tells me it is looming....Santa's elves will be busy right now, hopefully making me a new sewing machine...hahahaha.......what will they be making for you???.........

It will be a lovely thought when I look at my beautiful Christmas quilt hanging this year, to know that there are lots of houses all over the world with a similar one hanging, all ladies sharing a passion for stitching and sewing.

....I must take this opportunity to thank the very special Chookyblue for hatching the SAL,  keeping the SAL together, allowing me to join, and keeping us all informed and motivated........just hang that whip up......I'm on time....(wiping brow!!!)

....so bring on the next project.......when you're ready of course.....I have plenty to do while I wait!!!!

This is just great!
I got my blocks sewn together and the first border on, realized I didn't have anything for the second border except for a darker blue with Penguins. I had to get a second opinion before I began cutting. I might have it sandwiched by Friday but it won't be finished.
