Pieced and Quilted

Well I have finished the Quilt.  I am so proud of myself, as I did not have one block done in August to having them all done (exception of one not sure what to do with it), pieced together and quilted all in about a month.  I really did not want to let Chooky down so I was determined to have this done on the deadline.  Well for 2 days I have been quilting this thinking that it was going to be quick but not at all.  Some have done "In the Ditch" well I had not clue what that was so I was not going to go there.  I did the "Crisscross" as this is the only one that I have done before and that was in 2007 so I am brushing up on my quilting that is for sure.

The back is from the "Fruit Cake" line as well.  I picked this up on my travels to visit my Grandpa, he is not doing well and I really feel that he will be passing soon.  I am glad that I stopped at the shop as it had just this fabric that was perfect for the back and then I found the perfect quilting thread (King Tut).  It w as the best day there as I got a lot of things that I needed and did not need but had to have.

Anyways tomorrow while my son is in School I will be cutting and piecing the boarder to put on and get that done in 10 days.  I am just thankful that I got it quilted, I am always behind on the binding as I just finished one that was a baby gift in October (last year).

Till Next Time,
Shauna

Did you hand quilt this? Wow!!
Quilting in the ditch just means you quilt in the seam so it doesn't show at all on the front. I like what you've done.
