More Progress in the SAL

Although I had already put together "B" block, I didn't realize we needed to put those hearts in the large piece that was in it...that is until ChookyBlue mentioned it a few days ago...When I went back and looked at the directions for this block, I saw the instructions for appliqueing the hearts...You see, I had circled all of those extra pieces on each block's instructions so I just hurried right by that little bit...Lee and I talked about whether we would do the hearts are something else...I had already embroidered this piece that says "Smell the Roses"...I put on my thinking cap and remembered this square piece of fabric Lee had sent me that had a rose right smack in the middle so I cut that out and attached it...included the little piece of stitchery and here you have it...My own little touch.

Here you have two blocks sewn together: 'The potting shed' and 'Smell the roses'.
Today, I put together E block, the Orchard one and sewed together these ones...I think this is 5 of them..I am quite proud of it...since I'm doing the G block over, I still have two yet to piece.
Happy Stitching, Y'all
