February's done!

Well, I guess that one of the perks of not being able to sleep at night could be to make the final stitches on the February blocks at about 2AM last night/this morning.

And that with 8 days to go! Not bad. I wonder if I'll be able to keep up for the next months too.

February's all done!
I have to confess, I have started to prepare the blocks for March - only cutting and drawing so far, but still, it's a start.

Here in Oslo it's a beautiful day, blue skies, sunny and about 10 Celsius outside (or, 15, as the thermostat suggests, but with the sun shining directly on it I think it's a bit off).

Have a nice weekend, everybody!

Finished in Time!

My January project is finished!....

...and I think this will be my final fabric selection.... a couple of the main blues have been purchased but the rest is from my stash......

I've been working (very slowly) on Gossip in the Garden - fabrics also from my stash - and am using brighter fabrics for that so thought I'd go for more "subdued" colours for NJ though a couple of fabrics are being used in both..... this coming weekend will be spent getting everything ready for the stitching to begin!!!

Happy Stitching

Stitchery Completed

I'm happy to say that I have finished January's little project.  It is just a small 12 inch cushion made from bits and pieces from the stash, as that is the size cushion insert that was in the box.  Sew a bit on, then add a bit more and see how it turns out.  It turned out not too bad.

Now I have a head start with Christmas projects for next this year.

I was productive yesterday and have my background blocks cut and February's marked and ready to start stitching.

Looking forward to it.

January project finished - and pattern arrived!

With an evening home alone (peaceful, yet strangely quiet) I managed to finish the January project! I originally had plans to make something a little bigger using this stitchery, but the fabric I wanted to use was a bit too small for those ideas, and besides, Anni's stitchery is so cute it just had to become a mini-quilt.

Pattern and project.

My pattern finally arrived on Wednesday! I've barely had time to glance at it, but I'm thinking of using fabric mostly from my stash for this one. (I'll have to see how far I get, before having to buy more.) I'm also considering doing some adjustments to the finished size of the quilt (I'm feeling a little limited by the space of our apartment), but these thoughts are too early to see if gets put into action or not. First things first - I'm going to start cutting the background fabric for the February parts soon (celebrating a birthday in the family this weekend, so might not have that much time sewing/cutting).

My mom is anxiously awaiting her pattern in the mail (she ordered it on the same day as I did, but it hadn't arrived yesterday). I hope it arrives soon.
