June - Done!

This month was my turn to not follow  the pattern. I´ve decided to make a lighter version, since this is for me a time with extra work to do.....   Ok, only half is as it should be!

So, Chooky I hope you accept my version and consider my June pincushion Done!

June Pin Cushion.

I am having trouble with my Internet so am going to just do a quick post to show that I have finished my pin cushion for June. Am really happy with how it turned out. I used blanket stitch applique instead of needle turn and had a piece of fabric with small hexies on it so used that for one panel.
I quilted around the hexies  and then backstitched around just one in red embroidery thread.

I had a few more photos to show but it has taken me 15 minutes to download these three so I'm going to quit while I'm ahead. Mark me off as completed for June please Chooky.
Hugs Noela.

2 pincushions

Finally my pincushions are finished. :)

I couldn't decide on red or purple as i love them both but purple is my favourite so i made 2. I didn't have crushed walnut shells so i just used stuffing in them.

Happy Stitching,

My MiSTaKe

Oooppsss..
I couldn't understand why I had a "P" beside my name on the sidebar... for MaY???
Then I realised that I didn't write a post showing the finished bag...
If I ask Chooky really nicely... do you think she would remove the "P"... and perhaps replace it with a "M" ???
Or maybe that should be a "S"... for Silly me .. or Stupid for forgetting...or just plain Sorry!
Anyway.. a little late... here is May's bag...
Sorry Chooky....

June - Tick!

I love this months project!
This was so much fun to make and I really enjoyed making and sewing together the little hexies.
I've finally been able to use those packets of crushed walnut shells that I bought from Hatched and Patched at last years Craft Show as well.
Another fun project I would have put off making (for who knows how long!) if not for Chooky and this SAL. Thanks!

June

Today i finished my June project , just in time ... because my co-worker went on holydays and that means more hours at the office....
and  today is  national Holiday - Day of Portugal and Portuguese communities - celebrated on 5 continents - I had plenty of time

Must confess that it was a little bit hard to turn over once sewn , and i used something softer then  iron-on pellon .
 I didn´t had  a pretty button,  so i glued a ladybug.
hope you enjoyed...

RH Little House Pincushion

Here is my Little House Pincushion - nice & early this time.

I know it looks blue - but really its purple.
Its a very dull & dreary day to day so it was hard to take any new photos - I have some others on my blog here.
It's really cute and I'm glad I have made it.

Thanks Chookyblue for encouraging us all and keeping us motivated.

April and May completed

What a saga my last two projects were!

I finished the three stitcheries for the April project in March. Then I lost thepattern. Then I found the pattern. Then I lost the stitcheries. I've searched and searched for them. To no avail. Thought about doing them again, but then couldn't find the pattern.

I have a bit of an excuse - the builders were here fixing the damage to the house from the fire we had on New Years Eve. So a whole rom had to be packed and cleaned out as the fire had damaged the wall and floor.

May came along. A busy month. My 6 monthly scrap booking retreat was on and my second son was a partner in a debutante ball. So slightly busier than usual in our house hold.

This week, I was back to sorting my craft out so that I can get some organisation back into the new room and my craft room - which was used as a storage room while the builders were here. I was packing away the latest BoM package I'd received in the mail and here was the stitcheries. Yay!!

This was my prompt to get going and get up to date with the monthly projects. So yesterday, I put together the mini wall hanging and made the bag. I've bought linen to make onenwith the stitchery but realised that this was going to be unrealisitic. So for now, I've taken the option of making the bag without the stitchery. It's a lovely pattern and a nice little bag.

Here are the pictures:

The Stitchery.
The bag.

Not great photos. But I decided it was more important to write the blog and post the oictures than to get the best photos.

So, Chooky, can you mark me off for April and May. I'll make a start on the June project this weekend.

Cheers

Marg

Pincushion(on time too)

Hello again, this is a first for me in a while, to be finished before the end of the month!  I was lucky enough to attend a class last month which was to make this little pincushion, perfectly timed for the Stitch-A-Long timetable, so I did have a little headstart.......

I really loved making this wee cutie...... thanks for looking,

JUNE COMPLETED EARLY

Hi all, I have finished this months project early as I have lots of stitching and sewing to do this month. I must admit I started it last month when I saw all those little hexies, but it went together quite easily. Now to see what we have for next month.
Bye for now Jude from judesstuff.
