I am having trouble with my Internet so am going to just do a quick post to show that I have finished my pin cushion for June. Am really happy with how it turned out. I used blanket stitch applique instead of needle turn and had a piece of fabric with small hexies on it so used that for one panel.
|
I quilted around the hexies and then backstitched around just one in red embroidery thread. |
I had a few more photos to show but it has taken me 15 minutes to download these three so I'm going to quit while I'm ahead. Mark me off as completed for June please Chooky.
Hugs Noela.

It looks great - and if you hadn't "confessed" I doubt anyone would have noticed about the hexagons.
Chookyblue - that sounds like a great idea but I have no idea what you are talking about - "Please explain"???
Love it.. so pretty in those colours... I wish someone had told me about that fantastic hexie fabric!!

Looks great, Noela. If you hadnt told us about the hexie fabric we would never have guessed. Sounds like a marvelous idea for those of us that cant get too interested in hexies.
How special to have the little words embroidered on the side! I love this one!
The hexagon print fabric was an inspired idea. Whyd didn't I think of that?
Love how your pincushion looks and I'll be using blanket stitch on mine also.
