September Tick!

My set is complete with this months project!

I always like to have a place for my scissors in my needle cases so I've turned the heart on the front into a scissor pocket. It has a clip inside to make sure they don't fall out.
This has been so much fun this year stitching along with each months projects. Thank you so much Chooky for the inspiration and encouragement to complete a project every month. I'm over the moon with all the projects I've been able to finish.

July's Project..... Tick!

I have just finished this months project (and in the nick of time!!!)

I have used my favourite French General fabrics and changed the stitchery to a friends initial for an upcoming birthday.  I loved making the hexagon panel and using the buttons to finish off the bag. Another wonderful project... thanks Chookyblue!!! You can cross me off for this month... phew!!!!

June - Tick!

I love this months project!
This was so much fun to make and I really enjoyed making and sewing together the little hexies.
I've finally been able to use those packets of crushed walnut shells that I bought from Hatched and Patched at last years Craft Show as well.
Another fun project I would have put off making (for who knows how long!) if not for Chooky and this SAL. Thanks!

May Project - Tick!

I have finished this months project and am very happy with it. I've wanted to make this bag since I bought the book so the SAL was great motivation to get it made.

April..... Tick!

I just love seeing everyone's version of this months project.
I can't believe how different the same piece can look by using different colours and fabrics.
They're wonderful!
This is my version of the little Christmas wallhanging.
I just love the little stitcheries... it was difficult to decide on which three to use.
Happy Stitching everyone!!!

March - Tick!!

What a lovely little pattern that makes a lovely little pincushion. This was a lot of fun to make this month. I'm really enjoying the one project a month concept!
A little bit of fussy cutting for the squares on the top.
It's great seeing all the pincushions popping up on the blog, especially in all the different fabrics.

February - Tick!

I have finished this months project... Natalie Birds True Friends Tote Bag.
I'm so pleased with the way it turned out.
I bought the fabrics, 4 fat quarters, and the tape when I was in Melbourne in January from a wonderful shop called L"uccellos. I really wanted to use it for this bag, so I had a little bit of adjusting to do but managed to use the fabric with no wastage at all.
I am really happy with it and it's such a great sized bag!
I love seeing how different everyone's bags look with the variety of colours and fabrics used.
Great project!

Another Finish for January

I've caught the thread catcher bug for this month as well! It's a nice way to use up those small pieces of gorgeous fabric that you just can't throw away.
The one in the Paris fabric is a little taller as I couldn't cut off the top of the Eiffel Tower!!!

January.... Tick!

So nice to finally get back into the sewing after all the chaos of Christmas! I love the idea of making small projects each month and this months project was perfect. I'm off to Melbourne on Wednesday and a new shoe bag was the perfect thing to start off with. I've made the blue one for my sister in law (who I will be visiting and who is always traveling herself) and the pale green one for me!
I just love Anni Downs quirky pictures and these wonky shoes were a lot of fun to applique.
Yay! I've got a finish! I'm still keen to make the thread catcher this month too...just have to wait for my book to arrive!
I'm enjoying seeing everyones thread catchers and shoe bags!
Have a great day!

I just wanted to show you what Helen, Tereasa and I got up to this week. Instead of working on our TTS stitcheries, we made another project out of the book....
The Christmas Joy Scrapbook Album.
Helen and I with our finished album covers.Tereasa with hers.
I have now finished my album and all the pages. It was fun to make and quite easy.
I've filled mine with photos from last Christmas. What a lovely way to keep your photos and memories.

A stitch-a-long Day Out.

On Tuesday Kayly and I decided to go on an adventure and visit some other stitch-a-long members . I knew that Teresa and Helen visited Tereasa's shop on Tuesdays so we decided that that was the perfect time to visit. Kayly, Tereasa and I were even stitching our Gardener's Journal. As Helen and Teresa didn't know we were going to be there, we will forgive them for not bringing thier Gardener's Journal stitcheries this time but maybe we will visit again later and post some more progress photos.
We thought that you might all like to see us hard at work stitching.

While we were there we were able to see Teresa's beautiful Girl's Day Out Quilt - do go and check out the photos on her blog.

Is there anybody else out there getting together? Post a photo if you do!
