January, pattern, shopping and February prepped.

I was sure I had posted these photos back in mid January when I took off on my holiday, but perhaps I didn't. I got in and prepped January's stitchery. And I was lucky enough to have my pattern arrive before I left as well.

With my main fabrics taken from my drawer of saving for a special project. I've decided on 2 Riley Blake designs and I'm still not sure about the little moda roll.

Once in Melbourne the stitching and the shopping for backgrounds began, after about 7 different shops. Yes Chooky I shopped well for all these luscious backgrounds.

I then finished my January stitching. I'm thinking it will be a runner, but saving that completion for another day. I squeezed in a couple of runners as well, teaching a friend how to quilt and bind.

Just a days shopping...this was Milrose cottage in. Ballan Victoria. What an amazing place

And then there was today's, rest and recovery, I've come home from my holiday 2 days ago and spent the best part of it resting from flu like symptoms, today, I've watched 2 movies and managed to apliquick all my January prices ready for a sewing night next week. Feeling accomplished.

Hi, I'm Pia from Denmark.

Years back I joined this SAL for "A Gardeners Journal" and "Tis The Season".
I passed "Some Kind of Wonderful", but now I'm back to make a lot of wonderful smaller projects
So happy to be sewing with you again.

Some jelly roll strips leftover from another project came to good use.

Hi, girls!

Hi, girls! Here I am! I have a new blog and a new name: pepepatchwork (some problems with Picasa), a new invitation from Chooky for new projects and a new year! Yeah! I love changes...
I've not Red home book (I will, of course, it's so cute!), so for January project I choose Hatched and patched shoes bag...
I can't quilt because of my wounded finger (too quilting during Christmas holidays) and it hurt me so that I must do a stop for some days (I can't use thimbles on my thumb because I can't feel the needle coming...)...
So yesterday I begun my shoes-bag. I know, too similar the shoes fabrics and the background fabrics... but I love them sooooooo much! I think this marriage will be very sweet! :)
Goodbay, girls! I go to take an italian coffee with Nutella (nuts-chocolate), yuuuuum!!!!
Have a great year (I'm so happy to be with you for another year!!!!)

January done

So exciting to show that I have finished January's blocks. If only I could keep up with Fiona and some of the other clever girls who are so organised! Wish some of my other UFOs were finished!

It has been very inspiring to see everyone's progress.
