I am working on my tote bag but I thought I would just point out another reason why we use that extra fabric on the back of our stitching. It isn't just to keep things firmer and hide the threads from behind - it also hides the yellow felt pen that makes its way onto your stitching when you are babysitting a 2 year old.
Luckily the yellow part doesn't show through the main stitching and the blob on the back will probably fit into the seam. Or I could wash it but it depends on how close to the deadline I get with the bag. I'm not aiming for a pass yet, I might need it later.

ohhh nooo Lynda.xx
oooh dear.... sit it out in the sun for a bit, it might fade it being yellow.....
Glad it was the back not the front.
It looks like it is far enough from the stitchery to be into the seam or trimmed off so all is not lost. If not you could have redesigned and put your ricrac or trim over that part instead of over the other coloured fabric.
Smart - creative girl that Marilyn!
That´s what I think. Why don´t you let it to be seen? In 20 years you will look at it and have a reason to smile!
Oh bugger after all that work..........
try some oxy clean and sit it out in the sun.
You are very game to do your stitching with a 2yr old around. My stitching doesn't come out till my 2yr old is in bed - for that reason!
