Some Kind of Wonderful

I have finally received my book - it took longer then I thought that it would.  I have looked through the book and am very excited to start, but I will be behind on this one as I am still not up to snuff on my applique (needle turn) and I have not a clue how to do machine applique so it will totally be a work in progress.  Next step going to my LQS and finding my fabric that I would like to use for this project.  But that might be awhile too as I have currently lost my job and money is tight with the holiday season here so please be patient with me.

I hope all is well, Keep you posted on my progress

Till Next Time

I understand and am thinking of you. I lost one of my jobs - money is so darn tight. But I'm whiling away my time job hunting and teaching myself needleturn. Good luck - there are many of us in the same boat.

Sorry to hear about your job, Shauna... I didn't buy any new fabric to make the blocks for the quilt...just using from my stash...fat quarters and charm squares are working for now...I'll need to buy some for the borders and backing but that will be a while down the road....I had never done needle turn either and just slapped the applique down on the background fabric with some bonding material, ironed it on and used a stitch on the sewing machine to stitch the raw edges...but once I began to do the needle turn, I'm enjoying it and it isn't as hard as I though....good luck!
