The Gift of Giving..........

The gift of giving is so amazing..................it is such a good feeling..............seeing, hearing, reading those precious responses........when you give someone a gift...........it is even more precious when you can make your gifts............thinking about the person receiving the gift as you go along..................
This is a special gift.................this quilt is a group project for one of the SAL members................earlier in the year I got an idea emailed some girls and was blown away by the response..............so promptly people got stitching and the blocks were stitched for Deb and Andrea..........both having terrible times in there lives and both girls had been part of the smaller GJ SAL group........(poor Deb has had earth quakes again today)..
Miche'le got to work on Deb's  (here) quilt but it took a little while for Andrea's to happen............lets say life interrupted............finally it got to the machine as was pulled together............popped into the mail and landed on the sleigh today................just in time for Christmas.......

and here are all the blocks with the girls links.......sorry some are a little scrunched...........

Yvette..........

Diann..........

Annette............

Helen.........

Dawnie...........

Lorraine.............
Continue to spread the Christmas cheer and love around the globe.....
.....life is too short and precious.............
Enjoy your quilt Andrea..............
Keep Stitching............

You're an amazing group of women! Beautiful blocks - generous hearts! Andrea, sending live and prayers your way. Chooky, I understand difficult times - if you ever need volunteers, my needles are ready. Merry Christmas, everyone!

What a lovely thought - just what most quilty bloggers would do - lend a helping had where possible or - as they say "if life hands you scraps - make quilts". I am sure both ladies are thrilled and humbled. Chookyblue,if you ever need to do this again I am more than happy to lend a hand.

I just love the way that we can all help to make something special for those that we care for and in many cases, never met. Isn't this blogging world great?
Merry Christmas one and all xx

I know how much I appreciated the love and kindness that was stitched into the quilt that all your wonderful ladies did for me Chooky, so I can feel deeply exactly how Andrea will be feeling. You feel humbled and truly special. Once again I thank you and all of your ladies for the beautiful thoughts and kindness and I enjoy everyday that I sit and see my quilt hanging on our wall. Have a wonderful christmas,
Much love and big hugs Deb xx
